Think thats the square flange on those, it has defo been done before but you'll need a mani & downpipe to suit and i dont think there are any off the shelf kits.
Shaun you must be doing some speed hitting the limiter in 5th ya nutter !! Haha. Whats the rev limit on your ECU, gonna get it raised when it goes back to P.HQ ?
Aye it should do something like that in theory, but any cunt who does that in a starlet has baws of steel !! Haha, i took my old GT to around 140 over the Clackmannan Bridge and it was ehh, quite scary, life flashing before me :/
If youre just doing 5th the it can be done without even taking the box out the car. Am defo gonna be doing it on the 4paw, topping out at 135 is gonna be gay. Speak to Shorty, i think he had all the Toyota part numbers looked out for the d4d 5th gear conversion.
This is why its a fuckin minefield trying to buy a starlet or an engine for one. Too many clowns chucking them together and buffing the cranks down with sandpaper.
Im not sure the ins and outs but i thought the older ones were all journal bearings. I have a VF10 aswell (not fitted) and i have a VF12 fitted. Will find out soon what its like You can pick up new WEPR kits (mani & downpipe) for pretty cheap imo, you find that most used kits hold their value very well and might aswell pay the extra few quid and get new.
I do agree that yes its boring that everyone goes TD04, a lot of people have no imagination haha. The VF series turbos are still largely unexplored on starlets. Maybe because a lot are massive and quite dear off Scooby owners.
Up. Anything that needs posted you'll have to book your own courier for, fuckin sick of dishing out refunds because the bastards cant do a job right !! Anyway, will take offers (but not shit offers )
So you dont need to start a new policy to get the multicar thing then ? Ive just had to renew my insurance a couple of days ago aswell, was running around with none for over a week by mistake haha
Im with Admiral too and wasnt aware of this, i know they do a multicar thing is that part of it ? I want to keep my daily Corolla when the 85 is on the road but dont want to pay out the arse to insure two cars.
Was never dyno'd sadly, i only ran the Mines because i got it cheap off a lad breaking his GT and he didnt have a clue haha. Yeah an EWG will pretty much eliminate boost creep, especially when twinned with a good EBC and set up right
Yeah i know when i ran TD04 on my old GT i was getting 1 bar @ 3.4K RPM. Fairly small intercooler core, sort intercooler pipes, heatwrapped exhaust & manifold and an AVCR. wasnt mapped was on a Mines P&P, also had stock box & flywheel. Also a TD04 wont tail off at high RPM like a CT9 will.
