Styling is really 'meh', it doesn't look like anything particularly special to me. I don't get all this fuss about 210hp either, it's hardly groundbreaking. Hot hatches these days seem to get wetter and wetter. I guess that's all the eco / safety legislation taking its toll.

Sounds good, fresh lights always smarten up the front end a treat!

It's pretty straight forward - on the Seo when you pop the bonnet you'll see a couple of plastic brackets coming off the headlight, held in with a couple of 10mm bolts IIRC. Remove the obvious ones first and then just grab it and give it a firm wiggle, you should quickly be able to see what is holding it in. I also seem to remember that even when you remove all of the bolts, it still needs a bit of a gentle tug (tee hee) to work it free. Once it's free, just unscrew the old bulb holder and pop it in the back of the new headlight - refitting is the reverse of removal ;)

I pay £10 a month for a Nationwide FlexPlus account, which comes with recovery, phone insurance, travel insurance etc. Had to use the recovery a few times and they're always great. Comes with homestart and also covers you in other people's cars too, can't fault it.

Have I got my wires crossed or has this genuinely been with TD for 2.5 years?? -
Think it might be Wiseco? Thought I'd seen a few instances of people using Wiseco pistons with stock conrods, although I may be corrected.

You won't increase power by removing it. It can drain power when it's turned on, but removing it won't increase power - you could just leave it turned off all the time instead Like Nick said though, removing it will reduce weight and free up space in the engine bay.

Why don't you do a comp test, that'll tell you if it's the piston rings or not? -
Good excuse to build another one though right? ;)

That was the last post on the build thread :/

Felt completely cobbled together, was such hard work to finish the whole episode. Definitely won't be bothering next Sunday.

This is a great little project, I really like how you're keeping the progress up -
Bit delayed, but had a Seo wing mirror off him - postage was slightly delayed but he kept me up to date the whole time and it was bloody well packaged when it turned up. Cheers mate!

Alright buddy, is the driver's side wing mirror fully functional with glass intact? If so, how posted much for that and the boot lock? Cheers!

There have been a few people struggling with these over the past few months due to them cracking after a short timeframe. Not sure if it's a long-term issue or was just a bad batch though.
