  1. Any idea when these will be available Idrees, they sound spot on?
  2. See above from Tim @ Opie. I ordered some bits for mine off them and collected at JapFest - would definitely recommend them.
  3. Saw this but assumed it was the Honda-powered one, didn't realise it was local! Welcome along mate
  4. What about these? Basically the same as the MR2 ones by the look of it but listed for the Starlet/ http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_40/Category_2/3469
  5. Yes - when the piston moves up in the cylinder and should be compressing the a/f mixture, pressure is escaping down the sides of the piston where the ringlands are damaged and increasing the pressure in the crankcase. Basically, the damaged ringlands are stopping the piston rings from sealing properly, it's a common problem with 4es.
  6. I bloody hope passengers don't have to pay £25!!
  7. At 0.85 bar I assume you're running a FCD/FPR combo? Have you had it set up correctly? Could just be running rich as fuck?
  8. Make sure it has the triangular 3 bolt flange and not the rectangular 4 bolt one, as all Starlet manifolds are designed to fit the 3 bolt one.
  9. Love where you're going with this mate. The updates look sweet and I'm a big fan of the colour, keep it up
  10. My understanding is that P&P ECUs don't like FPRs as they were intended to be run with stock fuel pressure. Don't know whether this may have any impact?
  11. Just placed my order - 5L of Fuchs Titan Syn, new oil filter, removal wrench and some new wiper blades, all for £30! Happy chappy
  12. Could be Lawless, pretty sure he's local? I think I've seen that white GT at Maccys once or twice before.
  13. If you read the last page of Charlotte's thread here, you can see what Will found when he examined her car after it was mapped at TD: http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/48012-charlottes-gt-advance-massive-overdue-update/page-9#entry894100 Apparently the setup was suspected to be the cause behind her melted pistons and Taggy had similar sympoms after his map there...
  14. The thing that confuses me is OE Speedlines are 15 x 6j but people use 195/50/15s... Does the sidewall profile have any effect on fitment?
  15. Ahh I see, I was always under the impression that 195 & 6j was ok but apparently not lol :/
  16. 195/45/15 will fit just fine, I'm not sure why they would look odd? Personally I'd stick to 195/50/15 but 45s will fit fine.
  17. x2, Anyvan is good. Shiply is worth a look in too

Bump! No luck at all - nobody got any of these lying around?
  19. I thought inline was referring to the fact the cylinders are inline rather than the engine? :/
  20. I couldn't tell you the weight in kilos, but one person can definitely lift one of these without too much grief - I managed no problem with mine. With no driveshafts it'll easily fit in the boot too.
  21. Transverse is when the engine is mounted across the car, with the crankshaft running perpendicular to the direction of travel, longitudinal has the engine mounted lengthways in the bay, like a supra
  22. Transerve and longitudinal buddy And I think the spec is something of a secret haha
  23. Yep, as long as you stick to 195/50 tyres you should be fine.
  24. Ha sounds good, hope it ends up better than the GT did Yea I was thinking 0.6mm MLS gasket, apparently there's someone in Ireland that sells them, so I hear. And yea the FHE rods are like frickin' girders lol. Sorry for the tangent peeps! :/
