  1. Definitely sounds like this, had the exact same issue a few years ago on my Festy and it was down to a dodgey coilpack making it run on 3 cylinders.
  2. "I want a picture with my car poking out from behind one of them columns that support the roof lol" - absolute howler pahaha
  3. Looks lovely mate, really like that front and especially in that colour, need more pics now ;) How does the 5E rods and 4E crank work? Doesn't the 4E crank have a shorter throw than the 5E? I'm intrigued!
  4. Clips are the same if you go for an EP82 ECU, but EP91 ECUs have 3 plugs instead of 2. Although the plugs are the same between EL54/EP82, some of the pins are different and there's a couple of extra ones needed for the FTE. Check a couple of wiring diagrams for the two ECUs and you'll see what I mean. I think they're both available on here somewhere
  5. It'll have the ACIS intake on it; much bigger than the usual n/a intake and has '16 valve / Acoustic Control' written on it. If the engine is apart then yea measure the cams and it should have seriously beefy conrods too (much bigger than FTE ones).
  6. Kinda just defined what a 'forum' is right there? :/
  7. Well I've not yet got out of the car and attempted to beat someone to a pulp with my bare fists, but yea I do get pretty enraged at times lol. Got well pissed off yesterday, moved into the outside lane on the dual carriageway coming up to some lights, a car in the inside lane cut right in front of me at the red light. Then it turns green and the fucker is fucking crawling along, so I end up having to try and merge back into a massive queue when I could've been out in front. If you're gonna force your way into the outside lane at least put your fucking foot down!
  8. Haha well 10/10 for effort mate, Road Rage Lad ;)
  9. Assuming the Paseo fuel tank is the same as the Starlet, I'm doing pretty good! £45 to brim it the other day (from the light being on), got me 365 miles to Tunbridge Wells and back. Mostly motorway/main road and works out at approximately 47-48mpg!
  10. Love reading the updates on this because it's always top quality work, gearknob and wheels look immense
  11. Textbook approach and bluntly, IMO the only way to get what you want from your career. Been where you are myself (just in a different trade), I came to the conclusion that once you show you're willing to do whatever is asked of you without complaining, they take advantage and will keep feeding you bullshit to keep you sweet for as long as possible. By getting another job offer you show you're worth more than they credit you for, either they up their game or you take a better offer. Either way it's win-win mate

  13. It's 3E flywheel with 4E clutch, using the 4E box. The 4E clutch is 212mm and the 5E is 200mm, but you can't just put a 4E flywheel on a 5E engine because the bolt pattern is wrong. The 3E flywheel is also 212mm but uses the same bolt pattern as the 5E one
  14. This man talks sense, did the exact same thing on my old Fiesta ZS, felt like a right noob ha
  15. I think it depends what you mean by better mate? I'm not an expert on the CT12, but as a stab in the dark I would expect the TD04 to spool slower but pull harder? Hopefully someone with some extra experience of the 2 can advise though!
  16. I think the TD04 is 'in its prime' around 1 bar (which suits a standard engine well) and kinda hitting its limits at 1.4 bar. TD05 shifts it all up, so it'll run best at over 1 bar (?) and go up to 1.6-1.7. Obviously you're pushing it by running it at over 1 bar on a standard engine, but under 1 bar, the TD05 likely won't really have woken up so it's going to be alot less driveable than the TD04 i.e a lot more laggy for no real gain. For bigger power on a forged engine then you'd be better with the TD05, but the TD04 would work well up to around 1.4 bar. That's the mega simple explanation a
