Sutton's Glanza V (For Sale)
smobey_sutton2 replied to smobey_sutton2's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Sadly I haven't posted for ages! Many apologies. The Glanza is sadly now for sale, as looking to round up funds to leave a deposit on a mortgage. It will be in the for sale section shortly, but is live on gumtree at the moment. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/toyota-starlet-glanza-v-stunning-immaculate-condition-215bhp/1033760969 Many thanks for everyones help along the way, much appreciated! This forum is awesome so i'll keep logging on even after i've sold the glanza to see what you guys are all up too -
For Sale: Toyota Starlet Glanza V, 1.3 Turbo. (1997) In Absolutely Immaculate Condition for Age. Enthusiast owned. 78,000 miles. Very low for the age. MOT - 7 Months TAX - 4 Months This car is my pride and joy but unfortunately i need to save for a deposit on a mortgage. I have kept this car, in pristine condition, it hasn't seen rain in my ownership or salty roads, and has been fully wax oiled underneath. It has been serviced every 3000-4000 miles using 10W-40 Semi Synthetic Mobil Super 2000 Oil. And was last serviced on 29/09/13. I also had the cambelt changed in April of this year

Go for the calipers of the ST185. Bigger single piston calipers, and you use Vauxhall astra discs. They are quality, and will cost you around £200 all in! You'll probably spend that on new stuff to stay stock!

You seem to be a bit unlucky at Castle Combe, spinning out lol. Nice progress mate, the car looks stunning!

Love red glanzas! Hope you don't suddenly put it up for sale like you did your last one though lol. Look after her -
Ok, it was a group buy.... So how about a group COLLECTION?

Did the scam of CJ Performance's group buys ever get resolved? I've haven't been online a lot recently but still haven't heard from them!

Mapped on Emanage blue at Tuning Developments

Definitely fit a new or used turbo dude and then decide what you want to do. Don't sell it for pennies, turbos are cheap!

I've got a 215bhp glanza on CT9, it's really quick, sounds awesome, drives well and is really fun. I've also got a mk1 mx5 Eunos 1.6, which I use daily and when it's really hot. The Mx5 is nowhere near as fast in a straight line (stock) but the handling is amazing and it's so fun to drive! If your going to turbo an mx5, you could be looking at a similar straight line performance to a good spec starlet but you'll have brilliant handling straight out the box. But starlets do handle very well, once you've got decent coil overs, front a rear roll bars and additional braces. Also if you put money
