  1. So ive had my starlet over four years and built it from a standard car to what it is now fully forged etc. Every part bought brand new, had so much work done to it and its let me down twice since i got the car back first the turbo let go which was brand new and now it looks like rings could be gone after 2k on the forged lump had a bore scope down there can see small scores, burning blue smoke and smoking like hell and drinking oil, the car is always warmed up and cooled down properly. The car is due to go back down to be sorted but i have a few factors that are throwing me a bit the insurance runs out mid june and i dont plan on insuring it again once its fixed as i have recently been made redundant so it will be my eg6 that stays on the road as its more reliable and no point insuring the starlet for the summer when works pretty dry atm. So if the car isnt ready in time how do i get it home as im not paying 200 odd quid to get it home via uplift ? So I went to move the car today to let my dad out as mine was blocking him in and ended up having to push it as it wouldnt start, i know this could be a simple fix battery (brand new also) or starter motor (recently rebuilt) but its not the point it is as if the car is just not meant to be ? ive been pondering with the idea of selling up/breaking for a while now as ive paid all that money on the build/insurance/tax etc for it to sit in my driveway doing absolutely fuck all and its starting to really piss me off. All my mates say to let it go and i always dismissed this but now im starting to see what they are getting at. Tbh im at the end of my patience with it as im sick of it frying my nut and just sitting there. It has been nothing but problems since i got the car back in june and ive had it out around 4/5 times since then. Am i at the point of throwing money at it in despiration to get it working again or will more go wrong i dont want to look a mug and never get to the end of it and im thinking weather or not to cut my losses and sell/burst it Now i know this is a starlet forum and ive said it to people in a similar scenario before BUT im after non biased opinions, what would you do in this situation ? its bleeding me dry, would you HONESTLY chuck more money at it or let it go ? this has been almost a year ive been putting up with this. Also i have to drive it back to the tuners which im not comfortable doing either as its smoking at every opportunity and i dont want it to go bang half way down there. PLEASE NOT THIS IS NOT AIMED AT ANY TUNER OR ANYTHING IM SIMPLY ASKING WHAT YOU WOULD DO IN MY SITUATION, THE TUNER IS HAPPY TO SORT THE PROBLEM AND HAS BEEN HELPFUL THROUGHOUT. Cheers, Chris.
  2. thanks ben it shouldnt be the starter as it was refurbished not long ago so its a weird one :S nah me EMU was looking into wolf but tbh production has took a major turn and im a ballhair away from letting her go

  4. ash i have literly came up the stair from looking out the window at the starlet on one side and the eg6 on the other and im thinking about letting her go, tbh its breaking my heart but the final straw today after the problems i spoke to you about i went to roll the car forward to let my dad out and wouldnt start, i know it could be something simple like a bettery or a starter etc BUT its as if its just not meant to be what a waste of money

  9. depends on the state of the bay steam cleaning is good if its really greasy, or you can use an apc and brush just cover up electrics when rinseing off, use as little water as poss
  10. mines has been meshed for as long as i can remember, mesh it avoid puddles and sitting up peoples arses and youll be fine

Train as hard as you can it makes it so much more fun and in turn you can concentrate on others things rather than thinking about the fact your hanging out your arse, its ok to be beat just make sure your fitter than your opponent as daft as it sounds, then you cant blame your fitness and you can easily say i was beaten as he was quicker or whatever makes working on things easier after the fight. use the first round to sus him out and see what he plans to do method wise, play cool, go all out etc, watch for him dropping his guard at any given point and see if he repeats this throughout the fight then you know how to counter. All that aside enjoy it mate its your first fight your not expected to win but its nice if you do, those 6 minutes will be the hardest 6 minutes of your life doesnt sound alot but it takes it out of you, dont let your ego fight for you either fight smart ! try get some videos up of the fight when you have it and the ones with experience can point out any strengths or weaknesses you may have Good luck train train train !

  19. yo man, yeah few nice updates soon, having a few problems with the car but working to get them sorted out then tuneing can continue, my inlet and my new fuel rail should be on the car and mapped soon enough and my new rear brakes have all been done pics to follow bud !
  20. imo for a similar price wepr do the same sort of kit only top mounted as standard im sure and tbh looks alot better
  21. white is water and blue is burning oil mate, re-check the stem seals most likely they arnt fitted properly
  22. if andy forrest says it will run 1.7 it will run it no doubt if your looking for 280-300hp then tdo4 varient is your best shout, but im going for bigger in the future got used to my billet wheel after 2k miles lol
