All cranks are stamped fte all heads are the.same just later uk ones have a waterway blocked and a 4efte block has 3 holes around.the oil filter area instead of one bug thingy in the middle. Fte pistons are dished 5efe pistons are nearly flat, fhe pistons have abit of a bump and 4efe pistons have a huge bump. 4efe conrods are skinny- but so are glanza conrods. Designed to bend, not break

I got my calipers honed and fitted oversized pistons from toyota. Great job and think it was 80pounds for everything. The circlip holding in the screw that the piston turns on can be a nightmare. Piston out, inspect the bore and make sure the big screw isnt damaged. Does anyone know what causes all the calipers to sieze. It was a bust boot water and rust on mine

Well if its blocked then your gettin slighty less air at idle so it could be that. Cant see any photos and dont know what car this is on so couldnt comment at the minute. Unscrew your oilcap and see does your revs change. If the engine side is blocked it will cause a lumpy idle on our 4e

Cover it in grease and it will be fine. Adjustable one is around £150 new I think. Get new rubber bushesfor the front one aswell and your sorted

Make sure what u block it with doesnt get sucked into the engine. Vent to atmosphere, dont block the engine side of it as it must vent. Get fixed soon as you can afford as it needs vaccum to suck the fumes out of the engine

Camber is near 1 degree as standard. -1.75 degrees camber. 0.0 toe is a sweet setup. 300mm from wheel centre to edge of the arch nicely centres the wheels. Castor is not adjustable as standa so dont worry about it for now

When your loosing the.top or bottom bolt you should be holding.the fuel filter with a spanner aswell. The same goes for when your.tightening it up again. So you should habe two spanners in ypur hands at all times. Its always.good to change the filter, god knows when it was last done and its always overlooked

glanza and gt handbrake cables are different sizes. -
Thr final drive is on the shaft so u cant go from 6speed to 5speed. If your in the south have a look around for a paseo or cynos bpx. They use 4.something final drives Or use low profile 14inch rims. Honda fcukers rev up fast but dont go anywhere fast if u see what I mean. Google gearboxman calculator to play with ratios and wheel.sizes..

You have unscrewed the wrong part by the soinds of it. The speedo cable comes out by hand. Its a piece of metal pipe on top of the gearbox, almost direct below your throttlebody. Unscrew it by hand if u can and thats where the speedo goes. Ad said before make sure the cable doesnt slife out too far or it will disconnect from the clocks in the car. You can put it back in by pushing the.cable.back in gently and twisting it.left and righy until u feel a click which will be the other end of the cable locating into the clocks again Siunds like u unbolted the gear selector

The 4efte does however give a deep induction growl that the corolla manifold could only dream of.

4efte shifts the power so far to the top I think. This would be a good thread to post a.few dynographs if the owners dont mind.

Avoid the 4efte manifolds. Look at everyones dyno graphs on here that run4efte and you will see power decrease from idle until 5000rpm where it then spikes to a grand total of 86bhp. Corolla manifolds make power throughout the rev range. Fact Im testing a spacer for a 50mm on a corolla manifold soon which will be great. 4efte might be better if fuelling was tuned to match it. But we are too poor for that.. :-)

I seen on wiki that the elsewhere in the world starlets and paseos shared a dash. Has anyone on here used a paseo dash in a starlet? I wouldnt mind a paseo dash and in particular the handbrake surround with rear cupholders in my ep91
