I got mine off using a crow bar. Took mine off the other week because it was leaking. Be very careful when tightening up the bolts. 2 of the threads in the block on mine have been stripped and its leaking worse than before. Fucking nightmare. My sumps all dented at the bottom as well so i guess its time for a new one

To be honest man getting the manifold and turbo off car be daunting the first time but its really not that hard. Theres a great guide on tgtt on how to do it. My main advice would be take your time, make sure the engine is warm before unbolting anything and use some wd40 (i actually prefer gt85) then use the round ends of spanners with a bar for leverage on the nuts that hold the mani onto the turbo. I've recently built a car from a bare shell stripping my old glanza and i had no real experience before hand. These cars are extremely easy to work on, highly recommend you get your hands dirty.

Im driving my sisters ep3 type r just now while my cars getting its mot and i defo wouldnt swap my starlet for it. Its a comfy smooth drive, handles really well but its kinda boaty (standard suspension) You have to rev the tits out the thing to make it move and even then it doesnt feel fast or half as fun as the starlet. You can be doing 70 and it feels like 20 in a starlet. The uk ones can be pretty rusty as well, check the back arches for rust, seems to be pretty common. I'd stick with the starlet unless your gonna get a JDM one with the LSD

so this isnt RHDJapan?? you mean bidJDM?

One way is to jack up the car on one side (keep one front wheel on the ground) and try spinning the front wheel that's in the air. If you have an LSD it will be very difficult and there will be a lot of resistance. If you have a standard non-LSD gearbox it will spin freely either way. Also if you have a factory LSD gearbox then your drive shafts will be almost equal length. A standard gearbox will have 1 long and 1 short drive shaft. (NOTE. Standard boxes can be fitted with aftermarket LSD's such as TRD, Quaife, Kaaz, Cusco etc...) Hope this helps

Yeah the fuel pumps needed, probably a fuel pressure regulator as well just to be safe. If i was you i'd get it on a dyno to make sure everythings running sweet, wouldnt do any harm to give it a good service as well. Not sure if you got a service history with the car or not. Afraid not mate, most people on here use Tuning Developments or Race Tech for emange blue. Both companys are well respected on the forum

Very clean car man! welcome to the forum

Welcome to the forum mate! Yeah it says it has a HKS FCD in the ad. Just be careful with the air fuel ratio when turning up the boost, dont want to be blowing up your engine by running bad fueling. Handy that you have a gauge. Like the other lads have said... you would ideally want some management fitted. Most people go with a greddy emanage blue piggy back ecu. You can get one supplied, fitted and mapped for around £500-600. It seems like a fair price for what you got mate, enjoy it

fuck i was gonna order a sard fpr from them but have decided not to bother after reading this.... Putting the value of the items up is the part that gets me the most! Thats properly out of order, not sure where you stand on a legal point of view because of it being a japanese company but you'd imagine you could get them fined or something for that kinda behaviour. Glad you got most of it sorted in the end tho mate!

Aw i hope they are still trading! I've just sent them an email

The windows will go back in after the respray. I've noticed that the 96 window has a few small chips at the top of it so i might not have a windscreen for you dude! they are really minor but the windows coming out anyway for the respray so i will probably just put the 98 one in since its perfect condition. Bit of an update, first major issue! I tried to take the passenger wishbone off and the captive nut at the front came loose and was spinning about freely! absolute nightmare! took it to my friends garage who managed to cut open the chassis leg and weld the nut back in place. I never go
