  1. set fire to my engine bay once when using brake cleaner to clean it with the engine running. Turns out its pretty flammable after all And more recently I over tightened a rear bearing bolt which meant the bearing got welded onto the back axle and prompted a late night drive in a convertable mini down to socks to get a new back axle
  2. The black thing on the bulk head is your charcoal filter and I'm pretty sure you want to keep that. So probably just run a line from that to the inlet bypassing the wee electrical component if its not needed
  3. They are complete wankers! I tried to cancel my policy with flux halfway through and they started all that shite with me. I'd paid 6 months of cover and it was only just starting month 5 of the policy and they wanted £120 or something daft off me, I was expecting a small refund. Asked for them to send out a full explanation of why I owed them that because the stupid cunts couldn't actually explain it on the phone. Threatened them with the citizens advice bureau and told them to get fucked and refused to pay it and they eventually dropped it. Hope it works out for ya dude
  4. Should be reasonably cheap from toyota, for the best fit and to avoid any leaks i would go with genuine parts
  5. Watch with tightening the rear axle bolts, only supposed to be finger tight then a quarter turn or something. I horsed mine up and welded the bearings to my rear axle resulting in needing a new one!
  6. I really want to get this game but don't think I can justify forking out for a steering wheel. Is it alright to play with just a ps4 controller?
  7. Car got its MOT, sadly I made the mistake of over tightening a back bearing bolt not realising it was different from the front and should only be finger tight and then some. This prompted a late night 600 mile drive down to get a back axle off socks! Well in for waiting up. The garage who had the car needed to get the car back out quick style, had originally only went in for an alignment. While the car was off the road I sent my wheels away to glentyan alloys for a refurb, came back amazing! Some old photos of how the car looked when I took it back to finish the reshell myself
  8. I was just picking my car up before work from getting a full alignment + back axle swap, discs and bearings. Yeah seems like a really sound guy, first time i've used them. Car's handling pretty nice too. What were you getting done?
  9. You'll be the guy that was in Kenny Browns yesterday morning then didn't recognise the car at the time!
  10. Ha shame you never replied sooner, i ended up driving 11 hours down and back to get one off socks! Cheers anyway
  11. Anyone got one? would save me a late night drive down south

    Back Axle EP91

In or around glasgow would be perfect If not then one that's able to be posted quickly!
  14. Aye thats where mine is dude, its still leaking but not as bad as it was. Going to put my car in a garage and get them to sort it before remapping. Got cam, crank and rocker seals so hopefully its one of them
  15. My Apexi Power FC shows the correct coolant temperature (80-84 C) on the commander so surely that means my coolant temperature sensor must be working correctly? Toyota want £90 for a new one so gonna try avoid paying that
  16. My interior lights, clock and the warning sound when I open my door with the headlights on aren't working so I'm just trying to work out what needs plugged in to hopefully fix that. My radiator fan is also constantly on so not sure if these sensors need plugged in
  17. Did you get this sorted? I'm having the same issue
  18. Aye piece of piss, i also went from a 98 to a 96 and just took the 98 loom, dash etc to save hassle. If i was you i'd take pictures of everything before you start unplugging so you can see where everything goes, helpful for the odd thing here and there that isnt obvious how it goes back together
  19. Goodyear Eagle F1's are what i'm running just now. Really well good in both dry and especially wet, much better tyre than T1-R's in my opinion. Pretty pricey but worth it
  20. That reshell got started in October last year sometime, due to getting mucked about for 4 months i had to take it back off the people who had it and finish it myself, no free time these days and shite weather delayed me so just finished that weekend there. The engine is the same one out my first starlet i got in october 2012! This is by far the cleanest shell inside and out so I'm keeping this one for good, no more reshells!
  21. Third reshell complete, cars in the garage getting an MOT... Pictures to follow
  22. Im looking for a 1998/99 dash loom. Needs to be uncut and in good condition with the electric controlled heaters not the mechanical version
  23. Pretty sure its the 5-pin i've got, will take pictures and upload them when i get home. If its the 5-pin will it work the same way? boost solenoid in the stock loom and map sensor into apexi harness and to the side of the ecu? EDIT: its a 3 pin i've got. I'm guessing if the apexi map sensor plugs into the side of the ECU then the stock map sensor can be removed or will i need to wire in the apexi map sensor in the stock location?
