Silver SR restoracing project

Thought I'd get another as this sr was too cheap to pass up, not sure if it's anyone's previous on here but it needs a fair bit of work. Plans are to restore it back to original with small mods mainly to the handling

I'm not too fond of the flush rear bumper and boot it's just not to my taste so if anyone has a silver boot and bumper they wanna swap I'm open to it

Good to see you restoring her, I would deffinetly get rid of the smoothed boot!

Good idea lol as didn't think it looked right with the boot. But the bumpers are a nice touch.

Bumpers gives it more modern look smoothened out I think, but the smoothened hatch gotta go.

Yeah the whole back ends gotta go I'm afraid, it's got a few small dents and scratches that need sorting but on the whole it's not too bad

Looks nice and clean there but that tailgate looks like shit. Never liked that look, there is a a cars in Aus that have that and it ruins the look IMO

Got a list of mechanical jobs that need sorting first so gonna do these before I tackle the body. going to bin the k&n in favour of an original air box quick service along with new handbrake cables and rear wheel bearings

Be nice when you finish her up need that boot sorting out. Imp the smooth boot and smoked lights has spoilt it. But good for you wanting to make it original

Got some new handbrake shoes as I noticed the old ones were shot when I did the handbrake cables also got a new rad bargain for £38

Small update on this as progress has been slow, fitted a new set of tyres and changed the boot lid for an original will get photos soon
