GBaker24
What coilovers would you guys recommend for everyday road use? Theres a LOT of speedbumps around by me and my lowering springs are way too hard
ReeceGolliker
Coilovers will be harder than springs mate, Lots of people use meisters, they're the softest coilovers. Alternatively you could get BC's with a softer Spring rate through tuning developments.
daniel_g
Meisters are great for everyday road use.
GBaker24
I was thinking Meisters, just wanted to know that would be a better choice. Thanks guys
Ollieh17
I cant imagine coilovers will be alot better even as soft as they go
starletezy
Meister for road use
Starlet__SR
New shocks and better springs. Will be far softer than any coilover package. Go to soft and you're defeating the object.
00joeindastarb0
I have teins and there perfectly fine, I have about twenty sipped bumps down road, the positive attributes out way going slow over the bumps.
daniel_g
Speed bumps are gay but its level crossings that are a pain in the fuckin hole, gotta go over one twice a day, 2mph, intercooler a baw hair away from the tracks :/
5e colin
by what i gathered reading meister do a genuine starlet coil together with tein and trd cusco al the other that fir are based on the tercel/paseo
richardc9052
Reason why your springs are "too hard" is because your shocks cant keep up with the springs so the car is just going to be banging about over bumps. Your springs are probably soft but coilovers will feel. Better as the spring and shock matches.
dan106
Ive just fitted BC's on my GT and i dont see what the fuss is about, theyre not that hard at all
Addymk2
Meisters are perfect for a fast road Starlet, comfortable but still perform a lot better than stock. Worth the outlay in my opinion.
Phil
Yeah BCs here too and no issues, remind me of a tein superstreet feelPhil
