Ryncewind
Unfortunately this time it's mine, Heading up a hill with a blind crest, as i come over the top of the hill there's a wild Corsa in the middle of the road doing a 3 point turn, hit the breaks and lock up road was wet and just slid right into him, 30mph impact (honestly)

Ryncewind
Turns out the lad in the Corsa passed his test on Monday (31st) the crash happened on Thursday night. Everything is still going through, I've been given a courtesy car exactly the same as the one in the accident... Typical!Everyone okay apart from minor injury's, bashed knees, headaches and aching all over and a broken heart for my little Starlet! Still waiting to hear what will happen to the car, I've gone through a different company instead of my insurance.
Starlet__SR
Make sure you buy it back after you've agreed a settlement though
Ryncewind
I will be doing, I'm hoping the insurance will say it can be repaired, it didn't look like the chassis leg was bent when i had a quick look a few seconds after, but time will tell. Will keep ya'll updated
jimmymac101
I very much doubt they will repair it looking at the damage and given its age and market value but fingers crossed for you man! James
Ryncewind
Went to look at it earlier on. Chassis leg is slightly bent. The garage its at is a family friends who is a registed repairer for the company im using instead of my insurance company. He thinks they will cat c it as it looks repairable even though the chassis legs slightly bent. Hopefully she will rise again!!
Zemerz
Naughty smack that is. Buy it back if you can. Leg and flitch most likey biggest issues there. They can most likely both be pulled, depends really. The rest is just bolt on new parts and new suspension corner. If you have the time and money for the repair then go for it
Ryncewind
Just got off the phone with the engineer, My cars a Cat C as i expected but he valued it nicely, so ill be having her back and getting her back on the road!
Ryncewind
Here's an update in case some of you are interested. So i got my car back from the insurance and I was paid out, I liked the car way too much to just break it or give up on it so I decided it would be repaired and live another day. I know it doesn't make financial sense to repair it as i could have just bought a nice new one for the money I've paid to have it fixed, but there was just something about this car. I had to have it back. And so it begun. Off came my crumpled front end to make way for a new cut. Here she is with the new cut stuck on. Test fit of the bonnet and the wings, Cheers to Siwfc for the wings! Top bloke! After a few squirts of paint on the front and the bonnet.A few more bits here and there and she looks a little bit like this now.Got some nice new Enkei's to go on her aswell, Cheers again to Siwfc for them!In for her MOT Today (6/1/2017) Can't wait to get back behind the wheel! Massive thanks to Danny at Autofix in Sowerby Bridge for the top quality work he's done for me on the car. Can't recommend him enough. Thanks to ID-Workz For the bits i had off you! Everything was spot on! Cheers to Siwfc for sorting me the lights and wings out.No thanks to the nob on eBay who wasted my Saturday morning having me go to Stoke for front end only for me to get there and it's worse than mine! Thanks for looking!
