A bone stock GT Turbo will do 40mpg :)

You could get a 4efe EP91 too which would get close.

id love a gt as a daily but I want something I wont cry about if it gets damaged haha I'm tempting using lauras sr but its not that fantastic on fuel tbh.

ive tempted a d4d yaris due to the £30 tax and 70mpg

SUPRA :)

I've got a 02 yaris t sport, such a fun little car will do 34mpg with a short drive to work, does about 370miles too a tank. Even with 137k on clock its drive brilliant and cost me £800

I had one as a first car, was fuckin great!

They are not deer proof though, thats how mine got totalled :/

I picked up a 2003 volvo v40 sport for 600 quid.

Got the 1.9 diesel renault engine so returns 50mpg.

Hands down matches starlet as best car ive owned each for very different reasons. I can literally so what i want in it, loads of space for engines/wheels/rubbish whatever and just service it every 10k.

Its got 230k on the clock and still going strong

Alfa 147/156. Cracking to drive and the 1.9 is the same lump as fitted to the Saab's, almost all Vauxhall's and a lot of other misc shit. Worth a punt for a grand and you'll probably get leathers + cruise for that.
