jason_l
haha im spraying my car in a few months lime green so il agree with that one gal lolLOL its a new trend I won't be going green for a few years yet as i need to make sure i have done all the welding. No point spraying it if im going to be grinding paint off and welding bits, then spraying it again.Jason
bucketep91
i said that way back at the start of this thread, focus st green is lush
jason_l
i said that way back at the start of this thread, focus st green is lush I think you may have it! Do you mean the new RS one??? was thinking of the mazda 3 mettalic one but i think the RS version might be the one. I want something 'Off the shelf', so to speak, so that if it does get scratched etc i can touch up the paint from a spray can.Jason

Steve GT
i know i agree with that its nice as fuck but i havnt got a million pounds for a full respray in rs green lol so might have to settle with ninja green lol
jason_l
Luckily the buggy doesn't have much surface area so cheap respray so i can afford a little more on paint. At the moment im thinking about the RS green. The kawasaki ninja green is ok but its been done so many times now, plus i didn't go down the bike engine route so not really that keen in it.Im still contemplating what to have sprayed anyway. Engine rocker will be green and the frame but i was thinking about carbon for the sides, arch's and front. Although i have been thinking about doing the sides from clear perspex so you can see right the way through the car but not too sure on this yet???Jason
Steve GT
that sounds like a hell of a plan mate do it lol
jason_l
*** Update Time ***Got a few parts bought, a few on order and some to soon be on order and follow later.Firstly got the new rear side vents ordered up from Xsport in basingstoke and they arrived early this week, need a little work but will sort these out soon and nothing too bad. These are being used to vent some air to a oil cooler and generally just cool the engine a bit.Next came the Fiat Chinqy rad, now being mounted at the front of the car. Its only small i know but will have a couple of small spal fans added to the rear of it to help draw the air through it. Fits at the front of the car nice and snug though My bro also gave me some Pajero indicators that he never used on his supra project so these will probably end up being molded into the custom front nosecone i will be making? This will mean that the arch's won't have to have the indicators mounted into them then and i can keep the nice clean lines. Then today was spent moving the buggy to its new home for the foreseable future. TGT are moving and soon to be changing their name as they are going to start doing all Japanese cars rather than specialising in just Toyota's.Got the buggy out and on the trailer, this is the first time any of us has seen it outside with its new fat ass and to be honest i think it looks LOADS meaner and has a more racing look about it. Ignore the camber on the rear for the moment, the rear hasn't been fully finished yet so looks a bit low/crazy angles. Anyway, tell me what you think of the car now? This picture really shows the profile of the car now, looks great, if i do say so myself Back still needs some work, including a rear crash bar/light unit. not too sure what yet though??Got it moved 10 or so miles down the road to its new HUGE home, makes the thing look even smaller when you see it inside the place. The glanza in the picture belongs to one of the guys that works at TGT.Gives you some idea of the size of their new placeBuggy won't be worked on now for a little while as they have alot of stuff to move but i have said i have the money now to get back on it so engine/wiring/driveshaftwill be very soon Also have ordered a Apexi turbo timer and should be here next week and will be ordering the powerflex poly engine mounts in the next few days along with a load more steel to finish off the frame.thats it for the moment, any comments always welcomeJason

I love watching their faces as they stare at it as they drive past.Hopefully i will get a few little bits sorted this end over the next few days.......
jason_l
Right, got the powerflex poly engine mounts on order so they should be here shortly. Also while i was trailing through ebay i picked up a race Tow strap for the front. Its basically a harness fixing with a webbing strap attached and is used like a normal race tow fixing. The good thing about it is that as its only a metal fixing and a webbing strap its pretty dam light. I have started looking at induction kit options and will be measuring up pipework over the next few days and then will probably buy the bits i need while im at JAE Plan is to stay CT9 for the moment and hopefully go for TD04 or bigger later Production will probably slow up for a bit now as TGT are attending JAE and moving workshop so are mega busy! I will be up there on saturday measuring up bits so i will get some better pics then..................Jason

Steve GT
haha think the ct9 setup will be ast enough but my god td04 it and nothing will stop it lol
jason_l
haha think the ct9 setup will be ast enough but my god td04 it and nothing will stop it lolLOL should be good. I know the CT9 will be great as it will be almost no Lag but i don't know if the TD04 will be too laggy. Most of you are probably laughing at that comment now I know they are probably not laggy at all.Would be good to know what people with TD04's think? Does the boost come on around the same as a CT9 or does it come in a littl later?Jason
bucketep91
it will come in a little later but twith the wieght of that thing it will come in really really hard maybe too hard. when you drive that thing with just the ct9 i think it will be quicker tan your hoping for, i dont think there will be any need for going td04 the ct9 will have more than enough power and it will be hard enough to control at that lol

I wouldn't be going TD04 for a while as im going to just concentrate on getting it road legal first. If i change to TD04 then would need new manifold/turbo/exhaust etc etc.Think like you said CT9 will be more than enough, although that CT9 will be a hybrid
Sparky
Hyrbid ct9 would be more than enough mate TD04 would be real scary!!
jason_l
Hyrbid ct9 would be more than enough mate TD04 would be real scary!!Im going to be shitting myself just looking at the thing let alone driving it! Can't wait!!!!!!
ste91
Go for the TD12 hybrid (TD04 internals/CT housing).

Steve GT
just to answer your question the td04 will have lag. think boost kicks in at 3000-3500 revs while the ct9 boots in pretty much stright away lol
