jason_l
Ok guys and Gals, Unfortunately the tester set didin't arrive today so it looks like pictures will have to be tomorrow. However the material for the Odometer pins arrived yesterday so i had a little bit of time spare on my lunch break to knock out the first batch. These will come free with the dial kit, these look loads better in the flesh. I know its not much but it will add that extra touch to the dials, these look like chrome!Old plastic version Vs New polished versionThey take 5 seconds to install, simply unscrew old one, then screw new one on!Will post up Tomorrow if the dials arive, if they don't arive tomorrow then there will be no pics till monday as im away for the weekend, fingers crossed they are here tomorrow!!!!!!! Jason ;)
jason_l
Good news, Postie has just been and sure enough he has delivered the dials. Had a quick look at them and on first impressions they look very good. Will get them polished up on my lunch break and will have some pictures for people to see toinight. As long as they can go over the needles without any issues then these will be available from Monday (im away over the weekend so won't be able to do any before then). The extra 'GT' and 'TOYOTA' badge look pretty good as well and these will add that extra little feature. They are already pre drilled with fixing holes so will be able to be placed pretty much anywhere. Thanks for your patience people Jason
Galliano
One worry about these... what happens with the mile counter?I mean.. If I sent off the dial unit for the Paseo.. its got considerably more miles than the car the dials would be going into.. what do we do about that?Or do we just receive the dials and not the full unit? jason_l
One worry about these... what happens with the mile counter?I mean.. If I sent off the dial unit for the Paseo.. its got considerably more miles than the car the dials would be going into.. what do we do about that?Or do we just receive the dials and not the full unit? You will recieve just the dial faces and you fit them yourself. Its really not a bad job, or i can meet you at a stalet meet (JAE etc) and i will fit them for you. I have also purchased a few dial clusters so i can do a exchange basis, or lend a speedo cluster while i fit them for you. Im not going to charge for fitment but people will need to cover the extra postage costs.Next week i will post up a full fitting instructions post and possibly even a youtube vid showing how to fit them. The lexus dials are a bit more complicated to fit but looking at the starlet cluster its clear that they are sooooo easy to do!Jason
jason_l
Just got in and test fitted the dials.Fitment is pretty much 100% and i think they look great!!! Some people might think they look a little bit extreme but if you ask me there is nothing suttle about the starlet anyway so why hold back! Of course i can do other designs and i will be doing a few more 'Off the shelf' versions that will have the toyota logo, text,gt logo etc. I can do other one off designs if people want but it will cost a little more £ as they need to create a tool for each design.Anyway enough talk, here are the pics. Comments good and bad are welcome, what other designs would people like to see???Free badges with the dials........dials after a quick polish.........Standard dials...........and the pictures you have all been waiting for..........they are not stuck down just put in place but line up perfectly when stuck down.Im at a wedding the whole weekend from tomorrow but i will be ready to start taking orders and producing new designs from monday Jason
Sparky
They look sweet!!!I want to see them lit up ;)Would be good if the rising sun bit glowed differently so you could see it in the dark though Top work
jason_l
They look sweet!!!I want to see them lit up ;) Would be good if the rising sun bit glowed differently so you could see it in the dark though Top work Thanks mate. Won't be able to get a pic of them lit up as i don't have the rest of the car I could do the GT part as a cut out and could supply a red vinyl piece to put behind so the GT part is red but i think it would be a bit more work to get it to light up. Although, let me have a think.............................
