thanks chaps, took it to my painter today and he said piece of piss, but i'll wait til after the winter because my splitter needs redone too so may as well do it all at once when the salt is off the roads and the weather picks up a bit.

Trial fitted the illuminated ignition barrel today, not a great fit, think i need to see a factory fitted one, and the wirin isnt back there so it's gonna have to go see my electrician guy...poo!

cheers si! that'll be a great help!

Thanks mart dude, appreciate that!

on my way home from work last nite i bumped into that black V with the blak and blue advans from WRC sales thats owned by a 19yr old in ballymena. he pulled along side me and guess wot i got asked....

"Is it a turbo?"...to which i replied "no, not yet". the passenger then said they were only lookin for a race so they cleared off....i had drive to turbo the car before but i was so cheesed off that they seemed to have no interest in the car at all that I WILL be enquiring with Adrian Flux next week as to how badly a turbo would hurt my insurance and then...THEN...it wont be scoobies etc im goin after, it'll be everyother glanza or GT i spot!

Good call mate. Its better to be a true enthusiast than go looking around for races and being the fastest etc.

Give flux a call and see what you get mate, but dont forget its more lenient for peeps in england/scotland than over here, they didnt even want to know about my 5efe conversion so were twats to me, hope you have better luck dude. For uniqueness Im staying n/a and seeing how far I can take it, Im still not happy with the suspension so am gonna tweak things again, bloody alignments aren't necessarily a good thing if you have been used to how it was before for so long... need that negative camber back.

thanks gents, its just very....disheartening i guess. I have put alot of years and effort and money and various changes into this car....and its not even recognised by the majority of turbo owners, like i flashed a silver V in ballymena on the way to work yesterday and he just looked at me....the lack of bonnet vent isnt that big a difference God dammit!!!!!!!

my spec list (altho not power orientated) would be scary if i typed it out, i have done alot to this car...and yes u guys all aknowledge me for it and thats y i keep goin, and the thought of these new wheels has me so excited i just WISH someone would buy my konigs! but patience is a virtue i guess.

The red V at WRC has been playing on my mind...but then...I've come this far, it'd be more unique to keep goin. I know the turbo conversion is not a cheap way to go, and I've been in deep discussion with sicaln today (bless him for tolerating my incessant questions) and i know the insurance company may tell me to take a run and jump, but this is why Flux have their specialist vehicle service, they can just jolly-well quote me!

i know i go through this phase every once-in-a-while, like a monthly cycle like a friggin girl, but last night just really got to me. No turbo, no interest. Sicaln and i have discussed a particular option available but i'll say no more now, the main thing at present is next week's insurance renewal and once I've done that im gonna take up even MORE of their time with some conversion questions.

well, my insurance is due for renewal next week.

So, once i have done that i will take up more of their time with two questions:

1) Price of insuring a conversion

2) Price of insuring a Glanza

We will see wot the numbers are like. I dont have the money to do either but im just so damn frustrated and pissed off that i have to do something!

tbh dont let the bastards grind you down. Some people buy a car because they here its quick and spend 4/5 grand on a glanza. but where as most of us on here including yourself phil are TRUE DIE HARD EP FANS. At the end of the day the amount of time/love/money and passion you have for you n/a is unreplaceable. DONT be forsed into buying a glanza or a new engine for you beasty. Do it when your good and ready. Some glanza and gt owners dont reallise how nippy the n/a really are, Yesturday at the the bluewater meet me, sparky and muddyell really surprised Glanza al as to how quick they are for n/a's. If this Glanza owner would have been a fan of ye old ep's he would have been on here and realised how much your car mean's to you and respected the fellow love for starlets

(sorry for the rant)

hey phil, hows things? just on checkin out the latest starbos.

would love another starlet again, i just found out that my old SR will be getting a glanza engine dropped into it

shortly, apparently the new owner has spent over £2500 on the new engine, although i was talking to him few days ago and hes going to keep the SR decals on the side lol which im quite happy to hear, but i wont be racing him lol

are you and Rob going to make another appearance up at lisburn cruise??

well im off to the civicsportsclub now

talk soon dude

Barneyboy and Sparky speaketh the truth.

They had no issues on the motorway on Saturday when people started getting bored of travelling in a single file convoy.

(I somehow went from the front to the back of the convoy in about 30 seconds )

thanks for the support guys! really means alot to me!

@Barneyboy, your words are really really sound man, thanks very much for that! u too Lewis mate! thanks!

my dad has asked me would i not rather ship her on and move on from the EP scene to perhaps a skyline or something, but tbh perfectly honest, as i told him....no, no i wouldnt. and yes i have spotted a few nice V's that tickle my fancy (The tom's one at WRC and a 1998 one in Dicksons of Perth on Pistonheads for like £7k!!!!!!!!!)...but a white V would be....well...a white V, no offence to the LUSH white Vs on here but what could i do to stand out from Si and Scutch and Glanza Al and Shelbo?? very very little! 6exhausts and go-faster-neons!!! i think not!

where as...how many eps do we see in Blurple?? 3 in the history of UKSC (and two corrollas up my street)....and how many blurple eps are turboed?? and big fat NONE!!!!! i would MUCH rather keep my car and KEEP workin at her, there are alot of parts in the post right now and alot in my room...but to add a particular FTE that i have my beady eye on would be amazing, esp with Jay and Trevor over here to drop it in and plug it in!

i have made no firm decisions...tbh it all hinges on wot the insurance company say this week...and even then i will owe nearly £2k as it is in uni fees, ski holiday, and insurance on the wagon...plus i need to pay rick for a wheel refurb and then BUY the wheels off rick and then have them shipped and then rubber them, but they are SEX so are totally worth it!

I will hopefully be updating this week with the arrival of the your room bar, the crystal lights and the StarletRick ALPs...and insurance, so i will have some figures for u sometime this week.

All the best with next weeks insurance events dude.

I prefer less attention tbh but each to their own

I have a whale of a time when Im out in the n/a, but she should at least give me that after all that has been done lol.

Stick to the EP Project mate, you have come too far, like me to give it up now and the main thing is you really love the driving experience which is what its all about!

Performance Engine will be the final piece along with my 3G brake discs :p:p:D
