Nanglebadger
i promise, when its fitted i will let u drive her, not just have a passenger spin bro.and u can HAVE my CT9 if it gets u on the road, Jay can swap them over in like, 30seconds, it doesnt smoke AT ALL, and as u have felt, pulls to 0.9bar happily and hold at about 0.8bar happily. its got life in it for a brave while yet!Phil. Nanglebadger
UpdateJay noticed that my discs were starting to crack, which concerned me greatly, so, even though i am trying to save for a house, i have just spent over £300 with Nick at Tuning Developments on his Ultimate Fast Road Package and a set of his resevoir covers (to stop Jay and mark frowing at me lol).good job i claimed 21 hours overtime last month! but, this should see her right for a good few years!Phil. joel_ep91
that is something i will have to purchase when my engine is built better brakes could you let me know how these stick the pressure please philjoel
Nanglebadger
by my reckonings they should stick it fine man.stock calipers fit under 14s, which i like, and the stoppin power from the lines, pads and discs and the BMCS i already have should be fairly good. i'd only consider somethin more potent if i wanted to go way over 200bhp tbh, but thats just me. tbh, driving style will have alot to do with it, and being a qualified advanced driving observer, i shouldnt be up people's ass to need MASSIVE brakes anyway lol! i dont really drive on my brakes, nor do i know how people do it, scares the bollox outta me.Phil. Nanglebadger
UpdateTook a wild head stagger today...was browsing TGTT at lunch when i saw that Bob@ECC had some 8000K HIDs for a great price! been meanin to do them for years, just never did, when i saw the price i couldn't resist.PM'd Mr Bob....Text Bob...Bob phoned me...i went to Bob's house...Bob fits HIDs to my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!just like that! all in about 6hours from start to finish! probably shouldnt have what with buying the brakes and riko about to sting me for more dollar, but couldnt resist a bargain, and they'll hopefully look the tits at nite!!!!Happy Happy Badger!!Thanks Bob!!!!!! top man!Phil. Nanglebadger
lol indeed mate! Mark will be able to do discs and pads for me, but i'm afraid your gettin the braided lines to do if thats ok??? dont think we're too hot at bleeding brakes on our own tbh! sorry lol!and that pleases me to hear that the K1 is a response turbo, as we discussed at length, if my car topped out at 90mph i wouldnt care, for me its all about the response, first to the speed limit wins, job done! so long as she doesnt cause us any issues man, i do NOT want to sacrifice reliability, so i'd be happy to run it at the actuator and boost settings we have now, not put any more strain on the block, and let the turbo do the accelerating work! probably gonna need an EBC that works tho, dammit! that'll cost.brakes should be here any day. those discs i have now came from weejohn lol!!!!Alan E had already half ported the mani on that K1, so he is gonna finish it sometime soon because he enjoys stuff like that, then its off to work to see if i can smooth talk someone into drilling a hole and welding on a nut for my EGT gauge hehehehehehehehehehe! nice engineers!Phil. joel_ep91
well thats just sexy sir.oyea and i think when we were fitting alans braided lines we just jammed the brake pedal down with a bit of wood against the seat so the fluid wouldnt piss out and just took off old lines and put on new ones then pumped the pedal up and topped up the fluid in the resivour.hope that helps buddy.joel
