llawgoch
thanks!! little stuff like that pisses me rite off, i hate rattles, so if its fitted, its tight, and it cant rattle!! and if theres a bracket that toyota made to hold something, it gets used!! simples!! lolthe engine was a st165 version, hence it used a chargecooler system. it got rolling roaded at 220 bhp and engine was completely stock, jus rebuilt to standard specs. went rly well tho. iamlegend
how come your turbo is like that way round mate?compared to this?? (hope you do not mind me using it idrees)
micky boy
I think he might of "clocked the turbo" i.e with his set up been external wastegated he dosnt need to use an actuator, there for the cold side of turbo can be spun anywhere you want it.. in most case's people do it to shorten the lenth of the intercooler pipe route giveing much quicker spooling time also depending how your turbo is set up people also clock a turbo because the oil return might be on an angle and needs to be faceing down so the oil can drain off the turbo
llawgoch
i have set the turbo like that so it keeps the pipework as short as possible, have a look in the pice below to see how my pipework runs.and a pic with the meisters fitted, had to raise the fronts 10mm to get it to sit like that, was rly low!! lolyou can get the car lift jack thing from herehttp://www.cjautos.site90.net/mini.html

llawgoch
ye the cars got something like 8 previous owners onit!!haha so its been around a bit, i think the intercooler is the only bit that i re used on the whole car, everything has been changed, i have wired a new loom in, new engine, new gearbox, suspension, and the intercooler is getting changed for a smaller one soon, so that the radiator has more air supply, it was getting very hot on the rolling road!!i was very suprised that the old engine actually ran, there were so few wires actually conected on the ecu, and most very poorly!!!, i decied to rip it all out and start again!!!! the body and panelwork took some straightening aswell! looks like it had a few bumps in its life!!lol have you got any pics of it when you had it?
