benhorner9 Posted August 11, 2011 Share Posted August 11, 2011 I have been using the forums for a while now and thought it was about time i started a project thread off.I brought the car at the start of 2011 looking like this..Once i got the car i dint really want to do much with it was just so happy to finally have one! As time went on i started giving my self a little more ICE...When i first got the car the paint work was in very bad condition and just got worse over the time of me having it both side skirts also had loads of cracks and bumps in them...when i finished work one night i found a crack in the front bumper and a dent (guessing some one hit me while i was at work) couple of nights later i was talking to a friend and i decide it was time to have abit of a change.I handed the keys over to my friend on Friday at 4:30pm and he started work on my poor little gt when taking the front bumper off we found the car had been in a front end crash before with some one trying to fibre glass the front bumper upthis wasn't a great problem no as we soon had he all sorted outthis is how the side skirt was looking but once again my friend had it sorted in no time at allBEFOREAFTERonce all the windows bonnet ect had come off it all started to come along with paint going on...it all started to come along quickly at this pointonce this had all been done it was back to putting everything back into the car until it finally come out of the body shop at 5:00 pm on the Sunday looking like thissince then i have been saving up some more money to get new wheels that i should have very soon the colour is deep pearl blue the same colour they use on the golf r32 it had 12 coats of blue and 4 coats of lacquer.once the wheels go on it will then be the engines turn to have a bit of a make over (sorry for so many pics) Quote Link to post Share on other sites

benhorner9 Posted September 3, 2011 Author Share Posted September 3, 2011 how things have changed....i keep thinking about selling the car but not really sure what to do, its not that the car is giving me any hassle but something RWD would be so nice. hmm... i have 2 options keep the car and it will be running around 250BHP by the end of the year or sell it and get RWD.really not sure yet! benhorner9 Posted March 3, 2012 Author Share Posted March 3, 2012 well times gone by and the car has not really changed i added a rx7 top mount but other then that its still running the same as it was before i have got a couple of lists for options to do with the car but time and money is hard to come by for the car atm... things will come along soon tho! will get some more info up on the car soon once i get the ball rolling again!
