Xpect
That's because NA tuning is much more complicated rhan simply turning up the boost a bit (yes I know it's not that simple on charged engines too but put side by side it is)
Chris Green
Cheers guys. Plan is to get the revs on tick over sorted. Bleed the brakes and take it for a test drive on the trade plates. This prob won't be done until boxing day.
morgey
High idle could be a vacuum leak or the water system could need bleeding round more.My engine idles at 2k until it warms up then it settles at 800-1000.
Chris Green
I'm guessing the ecu is basically going wtf is happening, last time I was started I was 1.3. Not sure whether its just adjusting. But I will check all the vacuum lines.
morgey
You are using the 1.3 ecu? Surely the map's on that will be way out an cause it to under fuel?
Chris Green
I have changed the injectors to the 5e-fhe and got an ajustable fpr, the fueling seems fine, its going to get hooked up to the ethos kit, and that will give a reading on afr.
morgey
Ahh fair enough aslong as you've thought about it
Chris Green
All is running sweet now, 1800rpm until warm then just under 1000rpm when warm.Got the brakes all sorted so all I need now is hopefully a MOT and Tax.I changed the colour of the rocker cover too. Colour coded it with the body.Next plans are:Blue ignition leads to match the hosesSome bride seatsFull resprayAlloy wheel refurbCrystal fogs for the remix bumperCrystal Head lightsAnd that shout be it. shorty
Looks sweet! Loving the 5e na tune, nice to see something different should be tourqey id of thought
Xpect
Do you have the FHe ECU? If the FHE you have there doesn't have the ACIS intake, it's ECU is programmed to let it Rev to 7800RPM (opposed to the 4E 6300RPM). The Gen1 with the ACIS Revs to 7300RPM. So your 4E ECU doesn't rev high enough for the 5E.

Think ive seen this car about before?I'm hoping it will be on the road by the end of this month. You probably have mate, I was always about in Bangor, Ards and Belfast. There was a build thread on RMS from 2 previous owners as well.Sounds like a plan Jamie93DLZ Yea far too long but it's came along way !!I remember your car when it was completely standardWhen I worked in Toyota it was traded in ,It's like a different car now! That's brilliant! I found receipts from 2001 a while back from what I guess was the first owner getting the 1st set of new tires as there was only 12K according the receipts. We should definable get something organised in the near future.
