Well, at least you get to drive it. I lost my license last june and a month before that the engine shat itself. Since my Birthday, the 24. May, it sits at my fathers place. At least it had a heart, I tod it that day that it shouldn't set the road under heavy fog for 15km and it didn't. It did some days earlier.

So mate, appreciate it. I lost my license and thus my job so I have no money to fix it or get my license back (which maybe would cost twice doing the license in the first place was) and I don't see it that often because it's 15km away and I really don't like cycling that far.

It's not drivable at the moment buddy. I know how you feel, I lost mine for 9 months too.

I'm currently looking at a cheap runabout at the moment, so I can take my time sorting it. I need a reliable car for work and unfortunately, the Starlet just doesn't make the cut. The only bonus is, I can order the parts a bit cheaper and I'm not in a rush to get them.

It could be a month or two before it's back on the road, but at least I can still get to wrok and back.

Chris

Buy a cheap daily mate and gutted for you, but please dont break

John

I really don't want to break it John, it's just a massive inconvenience at the moment. I'm currently looking at a 1.0L Yaris, just to get me to work and back. I''' know for definate what I'm doing tonight. Need this compression test done ASAP.

This is what I've checked so far and it still won't start.

Distributor, got a different one to try. Spark much better than before.

New set of plugs.

Stock & NGK leads tested

Injectors, tried my 5e orange ones.

FPR, tried a stock 5e one.

ECU's, tried both 4e & 5e,

TPS, tried different wire combinations on the off chance I got them the wrong way round.

Apexi AFC Neo unplugged.

Wiring checked as best a possible. All plugs cleaned.

Timing checked, belt wasn't the tightest, but it hasn't jumped a tooth.

've narrowed it down to three possibilities, with four solutions.

A) Compression Test

B) Re-wire loom

C) Immobiliser

D) A gallon of petrol and a box of matches.

The war is over!!!!!!

Doesn't work when the Apexi AFC is unplugged, works when Apexi is plugged in and correction off.

Fueling issues. Mixture was way too rich.

Edit: On second thoughts, it could be the fuel reg and in my haste, I may have left a wire off when I unplugged the Apexi.

Wooohoooooo!!!!!

:)

Good to hear mate! Back on track ;)

Cheers mate. On the hunt for an induction kit now though lol

If your fpr has a gauge (aftermarket?) get it checked.

My sard one was fucked which killed 2 engines before I realised that it was at fault! :(

Looks sweet though butty :)

The gauge is shagged mate, the seal went on it and it was leaking goop on the alternator belt.

Will be getting an aeromotive one when my MS3 comes, along with S/S fittings.

Cheers pal
