200bhp starlet Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 looks sweeeet dude still need some vids tho pal lewis Quote
jon5698 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I drove past you on monday, was in my work L200 going past the team valley and it looked stunning, your going to have to wash it everyday in this weather though ha ha. I would have gone for 18's though personally as they are the best compromise on the supra for look, comfort and performance, i was paying about £280 for a rear on mine and they were pilot sports 2's so god knows how much a decent 19 will cost lol. daniel_g Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Nice car man i'd love a supra one day. I saw another supra on the jm imports site, it had the top secret V12 body kit with the mad custom front lights. Sexual. Have you got any plans body work wise or are you keeping it a fresh sleeper look? Quote

ste91 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Looking good mate, any plans for the engine? Single turbo? What's it like in terms of driving, after going from a small light FWD hatch to a heavier RWD coupe? Edited February 27, 2012 by ste91 Quote
iamlegend Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 Looking good mate, any plans for the engine? Single turbo? What's it like in terms of driving, after going from a small light FWD hatch to a heavier RWD coupe?when the better weather kicks in that is when the engine is getting looked at... going to BPU the supra (basic performance upgrade) which involves, double decat, fcd, fmic, bigger fuel pump, upgraded spark plugs, EBC! that gets it to an easy 400+ bhp run 1.2 bar boost.bpu is actually better than having a single on rated to 500bhp as it spools up so much quicker having the 2 turbos on the go...unreel to drive so much fun and RWD with boost =poRn! scot-ish Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 looks decent apart fae the wheels- think Rota's woulda looked better.on the power delivery vs starlet. i had a blast wi a 450 TT supra in my starlet, and went out past him, didnt start to catch me till 150mph. they are good cars, but overrated, need 500bhp to be classed as "fast" imho.still a lovely big car, specially on the inside. that flocked dash is sweet. Quote
scot-ish Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) LOLHow do you know it was 450hp? Owners Arse Dyno? They are fast cars, even at 450hp they will pull on a Starlet easily.i got the exact same reply from you in a thread 2 years ago about me having a blast with the same supra, its actually just shy of 480bhp, the guy is 38 and has owned it for about 9 years, being dyno'd atleast 5 times at different places. i know the figures are true.you also had the opertunity 2 years ago to see my starlet go, i offered you a blast if you were ever down my way, or i was up yours, but your 180 never made the road, and you never contacted me if you were down my way.as i said then, and i say now, my starlet was a toy, a play around, but at 350bhp, against a 480bhp skyline, im telling you right now, the starlet is faster from standing start to 150. there were 4 people that witnessed it, and the supra owner put the word out around my town that i went past him. my car was a toy.you blab on about big engines this and that, torque this and that. im now driving a 4.2 V8 NA, and my starlet would have wiped the floor with it, but this is my daily car now. iamlegend Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 it is all down to the driver and the spec in the end of the day.. all I am saying is 400+ supra is very fast! went out in one and lots of things will struggle to keep up with it IMO!the wheels are really mint.. affraid the pictures just are not doing any justice of how nice they look in the flesh is another story.. will fire a video up later!audi V8 sounds AMAZING! just no boost :surrender: Quote
