MX5 mk2.5 with Mazdaspeed bits - Elsie

Recommended Posts

I looked at that, but in the end I bought the Cappucino bottle from autolinks and then bought some bolts, metal for the brackets and re-used the original tubing from the original washer bottle

Hmmm, not a bad idea that. I'll have a nosey.

Went to the bodyshop today and he wanted to make sure I was happy with the mud flaps before he cut them up to fit them, so here is what it looks like now, he also still has to debadge the rear, i'm very impressed though so far

Just got the car back earlier today, checked it over and on the whole very happy with it, but have sent it back to sort out a few lil' niggles - here is some pics

and how it all sits from the side

and the little issues

Gappy sideskirts, should be tighter

Small over blow on front bumper

Poor fitting around rear lip on the mudflaps

Not used proper mounting points for rear of sideskirts, should be hole below - they drilled the sideskirts!

Overall thought the paint looks amazing and general fit and finish is great for an eleven year old car.

They were supposed to use an offset clip that fits to the inner wing, they didnt, and as there is bo metal behind the hole location they just drilled through the skirt and car!

Clip was in the box too, skirts were bought new with full instructions too

Car is back and better than ever, still got a few jobs to do before its worthy of another exterior shot, but as my early life in Starlet's has taught me, we all love an optional extra part so here we go for the mammoth sum of £19.95 from ebay the rear boot carpet lol oh yes, doesn't get more exciting than that!

Still on the lookout for an actual JDM brochure with optional extra list in, but as yet nothing, that is all for now.

Noting major to report, got the rear badge back on

Took a photo for the sake of it

and got it through the MOT with no problems, except the rear tyres are getting a bit low, when the weather gets a bit nicer will throw some Federals on Elsie

Got the clear rear light on her last night

Found out you can de-red the original lights but it will take the same amount of work as splitting the headlights, so decided against it and got this one on instead, love the balanced up rear end now
