Rob H@RCH Engineering
Bit of an update! I have made a start on the new wiring loom, going to make it so I can add to it still once its on the car tho as I want to sort the full bay loom out in time but have no time to do it yet! All new plugs and pins with Raychem race spec wire! Heat shrinked into groups for the first and second rails Some thing like what it will finish off like! And the next job on the list is to make a new one of these as I cracked the mocal one so Im going to make a billet one!

Rob H@RCH Engineering
Good I hope to see the blue machine out on the road soon!! Well I been busy playing with the milling machine again! Im getting quite into the milling stuff! When we did the tuning last time we were struggling to get a good speed signal to the ecu for the trick functions in the ecu like the boost by gear, traction control, launch control and the rest so we gave it up at the time and decided I needed a proper seed input for the ecu. We decided to use a hall effect sensor for the job but could not decide where to mount it or the magnets for the pick ups, so ive had all the gear for the job sat about for over 2 years now! I did make a bracket to mount the sensor onto the gear box to use the drive shaft but had nothing to mount the sensors to so they were secure and not likely to fly off! So I decided to have a go at making a clamping ring to go onto the drive shaft to fit the magnets into and this is how it turned out, Im over the moon with it to be honest!! It started off as a round blank. This is one of the magnets there only tiny but very strong. Cut it in half so it clamps the the CV joint with 2 screws, you can just make out the joins. I ended up making a new bracket for the sensor too as the original one was too low. The only problem I hit was the CV cup I used to make the clamp fit is different to the cv on the car! I have 3 short drive shafts on the shelf and theres not 2 with the same CV lol so im just going to fit this shaft seen as im still running a N/A short shaft. Next up is the replacement oil filter take off to replace the cracked mocal one. This turned out pretty good too but I still have to finish this yet! This one started off as a square blank Thats it for now more to come when Im on my days off again!
