Starbuck Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 Opportunity is already on the go. Waiting till the traders comes up soon. The image is unlaquered at the mo. Needs a few coats and a small polish. Quote
Starbuck Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 If u read up on it Akky its quite a simple process. Matt, you're looking about 25 posted on a supply basis. Quote
daniel_g Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Looks really good, will you have a go at most parts that are a reasonable size ? Quote
Starbuck Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 Only small stuff at the moment. Anything around A3 size should be fine. Of course if u give me measurements I can see if it'll fit my dipping tub etcMost interior pieces like switch plates, console surrounds, mirror trims, steering cowls, instrament surrounds etc Quote
Banbury Glanza Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 How does this match up to the TRD stuff mate ? Quote
Starbuck Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 It doesn't. Looking at the TRD scoop for sale on here. Although the TRD carbon looks less like carbon compared to some of the actual films u can get now. But I am looking. Quote
Banbury Glanza Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Ok mate looking to get a fair few bits dipped at some point but would like them to match my dial surround Quote
Matt1878 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 If you get round to rocker covers.. I will be extremely interested if you can get a purple carbon dip style Quote
Starbuck Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 I can do purple. The silvery grey areas you see in the image are the base coat. The outcome will change to what ever colour you use as base. So in your head change the silvery areas to purple. Red base coat, black carbon film You can get a silver carbon as well which would give a light carbon look. Quote
lottie Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Looks mint Marc! Rocker covers and fuel rail in future if you would maybe ;) Quote
Starbuck Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Fuel rails not an issue and the same with Rockers. They would however need a good cleaning before coming to me.Rockers in particular would need all work doing to them before coming to me (specially if youre gonna go race spec, as the welding would ruin the work). Ideally cleaned and stripped beforehand. Quote
lottie Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 I would have done that anyway. Is it just carbon effect that you do or can you do any pattern? Quote
Starbuck Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Any pattern available in the hydrographics world. Its limited to a degree but there are hundreds to choose fromDigital Camo,Woodland Camo, Hello Kitty, Silver carbon, Black Carbon, Carbon Kevlar, brushed Aluminium, Skulls, Ghosts, Zombies, Dollars, Flames, Woodgrains, the list goes on. Have a look on ebay under hydrographics film Quote
