gaz
did you spray the rocker cover yourself? because i heard its aluminium and as far as im aware aluminiun has to be anodised for the paint to adhere correctly... because i was thinking of doing it when i get mine but i dont wanna pay silly prices for it to be sent off and painted. scutch0
there all good rich why should you have to cheers bud thats so individual mate you wann tresure that. like the bay too. thanks mate man them mirrors are well dinky can you see much outta them? ;) i get asked that everywhere i go!! if you look at the size of the glass its actuallythe same length as the normal ones, but just not as tall. there convex anyway, so you can see plenty thru them. ive said it before rich but ill never get enough of your car..... cheers bud did you spray the rocker cover yourself? because i heard its aluminium and as far as im aware aluminiun has to be anodised for the paint to adhere correctly... because i was thinking of doing it when i get mine but i dont wanna pay silly prices for it to be sent off and painted.yes mate. i did it myself. the problem with ally is that its a naturally greasy metal, so i scrubbed it all over with a fine wire brush and thinners until it looked clean, then soaked it in the thinners for about 20 mins, left it in the baking sun for 15 mins then hit it with some normal grey primer. if you have a thick covering it is easier to chip off, but as long as you dont throw tools at it it'll stay on fine.
