morgey
Been at my company 6 years and am only £7.80. On a 40ish hour week. Really need to find a new job as im sure a cnc machinist, forktruck driver, injection mould setter, tool maker etc all earn the same or more than that. Only difference is im not specialised in any one of these, just know bits of all of them The main thing that stops me is the fact that the bosses here are soo laid back i can turn up 15 mins late everyday and not loose my job and i get loads of perks like free use of cnc machines and stuff! Fozzie
Tbh obviously being on minimum wage sucks, but 70hr weeks even at £6.19/hr mean you're earning a good bit more than me lol! If I could work mega hours but get paid for it then I'd be all over it!

H_D
Its disgusting how so many skilled tradesmen/women earn so little compared to someone who is on benefits. If you work you get taxed on your wages and have to pay your own way for everything. If your on benefits you get free housing, council tax exemption, Job seekers allowanace, employment and support allowance, free prescriptions, free dental and eye care, free school meals if you have children etc. The downfall of this country is the benefit system and the leaches that us hard working people pay for with our taxes. I know some people genuinly need benefits but there are alot of people claiming them that are capable of working which makes me sick. You can get shot for crossing the border illegally in some countries or imprisoned for 10 years and forced to do hard labour. If you cross the UK border illegally you get a house, money, free health care and loads of other luxuries. The whole system sucks!

Josh@TunerLifestyle
depends what you spend your money on too or what bills you have. if you went out to the pub every night that would take a large chunk of your money i dont really drink or actually spend alot. i only have small bills so alot of my money goes on my car
turbo Grant
It's a pain the cost of living keeps going up and wages staying the same. I'm doing 55 hour weeks on £9 hour and 5 of those hours are at overtime rate. Taken me 5 years to get to this point. I couldn't live on anything less now without being ultra depressed about it.
