steve-gers Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Some actually decrease power by a horse or 2. Just a gimmic like octane booster. Quote

Socks Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 They Blow Air They DONT Compress it.... Which means its not a supercharger.... Quote
daniel_g Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Teamed with one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-to-15-bhp-resistor-chip-for-all-cars-/310671790058?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item48557b4fea youd get a load more power... Quote
turbo Grant Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Rotex were designing a proper electric turbo charger. Be interesting to see what they are like. Would be better than your normal turbo. Just like an electric motor is more efficient than an fossil fuel engine Quote

TurboTobz Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I brought a car once and was disgusted to find one on it, it had a little micro switch under the throttle pedal that turned it on. But I do have to say I DEFINATELY noticed a substancial difference to the performance of the car....The moment I ripped the fucker out and put it in the bin. Quote
Hiq Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Not worth looking at then guess its just a bigger turbo loll Quote
daniel_g Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Ive got a handful of those wee resistor things all wired into my loom, and i chipped and remapped my ecu myself with them too. And a leaf blower looped up to my TD04 for better spool. Quote
TurboTobz Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) I chipped my ECU didn't use them resistors I took it out climbed onto my garage roof (fell off twice) and dropped it repeatedly until I chipped it, got an exta 89.97655 bhp and the weight I saved really made a difference Edited May 24, 2013 by TurboTobz Quote
daniel_g Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Sounds like a great idea, i put my ecu in the microwave until it remapped itself to learn how to defrost bread. Quote
