Dean_mc88
After realising my rocker cover was from TMD a company owned by , from what I've read , I good fella called dave burwash I thought that his stamp should be on it and a little respect shown by myself. I will admit I never knew who the company was or who he was until I went searching but still I think a little respect should be shown. I also looked down the spark plug holes because someone said I may be able to see part numbers for a forged engine !! And I can't , unfortunately , but still need to take the sump off on Sunday to find out for sure . The mystery continues

TrisK
I personally wouldnt go for a JAM ecu with forged engine dude If you get a larger turbo kit and something mapable (like an emanage) then you will end up with much more power, and a much better driving car not telling you what to do, just saying what i would do but looking good bud
Dean_mc88
yea mate a lot of people have said that but I fancied going down this route for now see were I end up maybe change my mind once its on the road see what happens. cheers for your comments though its what the car scenes about
Dean_mc88
not meant to be spending on his as im trying to buy a house but managed to get a cheap ct9 so I can replace mine, think mines only blown seals but the car hasn't even seen full boost for months as its been sitting on my drive and only warmed up and then left again to keep her ticking over. As im still in Singapore for a good while with nothing to do I end up going on ebay and other sites and came across this addition for the boost controller. Ive never seen it before so had a little punt and ended up winning it I think this is going to be it until ive got my house but I will be doing cheap cosmetic bits to keep the build progressing. Also quick picture of this beast looked ace in person Edited March 2, 2014 by Dean_mc88
Dean_mc88
So I arrived back home and got straight into the starlet , the first job was to get the turbo housing swapped over. Now I was told I had a hybrid but I never really believed it as there was no paper work , however swapping them over it's obvious I do as the housing that was broke has been machined and the new one doesn't fit. Size difference between old on the right and new standard on the left Edited March 12, 2014 by Dean_mc88
pick1
Nice work dude keep at it nice find with the engine
Liam_D
That's defiantly a hybrid mate, looks like some sort of mitsubishi compressor wheel.
mikey4410
cool starlet
Dean_mc88
Cheers lads it's coming together slowly.Cheers Liam I have no history on the engine or turbo so that's handy to know! Turbos getting machined as soon as , then it will have it's final check over, then MOT just in time for some good weather
Dean_mc88
So a bit of a no picture update due to the capped internet at work but, after only being home for four days in the past 2 months, theres been a lot of internet surfing and spending. I keep saying im not going to spend due to saving for a house but the urge to get the starlet running and on the road is taking priority. I spoke to keith at zisco and got a nice gold/bronze colour fuel rail with braided hoses and rrfpr I then was speaking to philm who sold me some nice denso 370cc injectors, I then got myself a nice little list of parts to throw on such as : AEM widebandcivic thick core half radid works rad fitting kitde cat with both holes for temp and lambdafull belt service kit and water pumpdizzy cap service kitgeneral service kit And I still have my HKS boost controller and 255 fuel pump to go on along with a few things to tidy the car up. When I get back to the UK il post some new pics but for now im itching to get home and throw all my bits on to get it ready I also got a quote for insurance from flux direct of £589 all mods declared everything down to the stickers hahaha happy days Next on my list will be a bigger turbo, better management and a re spray but this summer I will just enjoy the little beast for now
