***BBC Newsline report on strange goings on in the Costa Del Vogie this week. Strange noises have been heard eminating from a beach side building into the early hours of the morning, some say it sounds like the mating call of the Basking Shark and the Ring Tailed Limur. Minor explosions have been witnessed, with plumes of ash and smoke drifting from under door frames. Strange red blurs have been seen on the local road network, and its reported that 37.5 rabbits have been found decapitated in Butterlump carpark, as well as 4 elderly pensioners found trembling up trees in their garden, muttering uncontrollably about "its him" he's here! Lucifer has come! i've seen his red cloak and horns! The Devil is here! SATAN!!!!!!!". Newsline will continue to report as this strange Bermuda Triangle-esque story unfolds"

Glad you approve of the work that has gone on Lew

She's nearing 400 miles of the run in period and had her 1st oil and filter change courtesy of Jays Garage today.

Not too long now until we can start setting the boost and drive at higher revs when we near 700 miles.

A complimentary dyno run is on the cards after the run-in to see her current stage 1 power output.

Fuel economy is also good so everything is on track. Engine and gearbox are both tight.

I'll have her dynoed again after CCM works their magic.

Just having the finishing touches sorted such as an alarm, new square plates and bit 'n' pieces.

The new Meister R's will also be fitted once the time is right ;)

Cheers Si :D

Its a completely different ballgame parts wise. So many options and deals on every other week.

Gonna enjoy what the ct9 has to offer at least until the new year :D

An emanage tune-up should do her wonders.

Also gonna give the screamer pipe a chance :p

She was really nippy off-boost and caught me offguard moving off Jay's driveway lol.

EP is so light compared to the bigass beemer I'm driving at the mo.

Not long now mon frere... :p

  • 1 month later...

The EP returned home today with the keys handed back after an extended Costa visit :D

Big Thanks of epic proportions to Jay's Garage for 'boosting' the whole project and sorting out the engineers inspection this morning.

Insurance are on the case and hopefully I'll be driving this legally tomorrow :D

Meister R's are on and the whole car is tidied up with a few wee bits such as new steering wheel. plates etc.

Will give her a polish then post some fresh pics. The Rays ideally need a refurb but they can wait, too much catching up to do.

Plans for now are to get used to 0.7bar boost and then turn her into a 1 bar superstar.

That'll be WEPR fmic and CCM time  She is running the 4EFE gearbox with QUAIFE and is working a treat so far.

Its great to return to the EP after so long in the BMW!

No matter how much you try to fight it, an FTE will eventually find its way into your EP engine bay where it belongs B)

i cant wait either for my engine to be finished still need to get the block notched for the scat rods and get the bottom end race balanced which should help. trying to get some sort of custom air intake and inlet system made up aswell which is proving to be a bitch.

as for the night at jays i would say that is very doable for me just let me know when

Cheers Gents! I've already cleaned her twice since she's been back

I'm going to be more than happy to enjoy what the CT9 has to offer for now.

Back in the n/a days it was always about chasing the next mod to squeeze that tiny ounce of power.

Now I can just chill and take it easy. 'Enjoyment' and 'reliability' are certainly the words of the moment.

Glad you enjoyed the run in her dude, don't forget Jay is a demon once he gets into an EP and I can see he really knows how to use 'THOSE' brakes lol!!

I'm taking advantage of WEPR's anniversary discounts this month so a new WEPR FMIC is on the cards, can't wait for that.

The car has a new lease of life now and I'm going to make sure its a good one.

Just got the insurance quote for the 4EFTE conversion this minute and it has only gone up by £100 compared to my 5E!

So paying £670 with 4 years protected ncb. Result for UKSCNI!!!! ninja-disappearing-smiley.gif

Time to start her up... This is where it begins all over again :) "Hajime"

Cheers lads :)

Have been a bit too busy trying to remove the 'perma-grin' off my face than take pics lol!

Will defo get them soon, but let me tell you its a different kettle of fish driving an FTE.

I'm just so pleased that the insurance quote went well also.

Really need new seats as the 98 spec oem ones are waaay to high.

The learning experience continues
