Robs Precision Boosted Track Build..She's for sale......

Recommended Posts

Nah not gonna be a daily, have a company car that gets used for that.

No sold it, was going to have it all custom made, Si has since gone and brought something else rather legend that will destroy any starlet round a track so gave up on that.

I'll keep the beam but might do something with the panhard rod in the future.

Bay has been primed today.

Testing fitment in the rack...going to run the lines along the bottom of the bulkhead into the passenger footwell and secure with p-clips or similar. Undecided whether to just put grommets on the bulkhead, or to run bulkhead an- fittings..later being better, but then more chance of leaks!

Mine will be wired into a switch so it can be turned off when upto speed...feels a lot nicer!

Bay looks sweet mate, feel free to come and do mine! :p

Haha painting it isn't hard, its just the prep and time etc!

I planned to do it about 4 years ago but never did.. Everyone's caught up lol! Yea I'm thinking it might be quite loud, especially combined with a Bosch 044 inside.. If it does my head in I'll move it ..!

aye id seen threads of all the older timers talking about trying it and noone seemed to have went through with it. since i done mine had to pm like 6-7 people with exactly how i done mine. this time next year i think it will be a novotly to see a glanza with the stock pas system ha!

i was impressived with how noisy it was to be honest i have some sound deadening stuff sitting for next time i have my bumper off to try pad out some of the noise as it sits right at my front bumper its farily notiable standing next to the car

Haha yes indeed, no one can work anything out themselves now lol! Ah I'm sure it'll be okay, it'll be turned off when upto speed, anyways theres going to be a bosch 044 in there so its going to be noisy enough anyways!

More progress..

Doesnt get much fresher then that!

Good work Rob...

Cheers Matt, still need to clean all the plastics on the coil / wiper motor but its getting there.

super fresh i hope to be able to take this time and attention in the bay next year once its all running mechanicaly bang on!

I thought id do all this first as i can't be arsed to take it out again apart from when it gets forged lol.

Hoping to have the front brake lines done soon'ish & the PAS pump refurbed as it looks hanging. Need to drill and mount those AN- fittings in the bulkhead too.

Toyota in Japan delivered the goods today! Some hardware for the brake lines..trying to use a lot of the original stuff for the abs/bias valve removal for ease and neatness..

Worked out cheaper to get the bits from Japan than the UK lol!

The T-Piece was 6 quid i think, toyota over here wanted about 22!
