Amjad Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Pretty mani! I recently drove an EP3 for the first time, great chassis and engine but I'm just not a fan of the looks of how common they are. K in a Starlet though, Quote
wokstar Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the encouragement all! I just realised I forgot to post a few additional things. Along the way, I’d also heard from one of the guys on the AUStarlet forum that the MR-S brake set up was shorter than an EP82. My friend Justin was kind enough to measure up the one off his MR-S for me and send me this photo. Upon further research, I confirmed that the rear parts are identical to that of an EP82. This is good to know as it means we may not need to go to a pedal box set up.MRS diagram:EP82 diagram:Picked up a set of EL44 Paseo knuckles from the wreckers as they might actually be a perfect fit for the Toyonda.Time will tell! I also swore a lot and destroyed my hands while pulled the factory Honda loom out of the DC5 just in case we need it later... Victory! The full blog post was here but there's a bit in it about my other cars which isn't entirely relevant to this thread however, if you want to read about how to cut a roof off a DC5 then hit the link: https://noisyninja.wordpress.com/2015/03/16/project-rattlesnake-wrecking-and-research/ Edited September 1, 2015 by wokstar Quote
Socks Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Yes the MR2/MRS Master fits. I needed it to fit my 2ZZ-GE engine far enough back for straight driveshaft angles! Footprint is the same. You do need to modify it to fit however, you'll see what needs modifying when you try and mount it... ;) Quote
wokstar Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Hi guys, I didn't have any time to update the forums during the build but for anyone who is interested, the K24 swap is completed and has done a track day too! Updates available on my blog: https://noisyninja.wordpress.com/ Search "Project Rattlesnake" to find all 16 parts of the build thread. Thanks for reading. Quote
morgey Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Just spent half my morning at work reading though your blog haha, some cracking fab work gone into the whole build. Wish i had use of CAD and a workshop like that when i did my 4age swap, would have made things a lot easier and the finished product much neater. Quote

yingbot Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 (edited) Hey all! Long time, no post. I just noticed I never posted it here so here's a clip of it in flight. Not my PB lap but gives you a good idea of how the swap feels. https://youtu.be/8-YtIaYEgMo Edited May 20, 2018 by yingbot Quote
