SOG33K
As the title says what's the best seats for the Starlet? Whether they are factory seats or aftermarket what fits the best and what is the easiest conversion. They have to be reclining like the factory ones to pass registration and more of a bucket seat. I have a nice set of retrimmed factory ones but was thinking WRX or R32 GTR seats.

Ollieh17
I have some evo 6 seats for sale... Couple of rails off browner and you'll be away
Gainzy
It's the rails that are a pain can't go wrong with recaro's just finding a decent pair all the well kept one's are pricey spent a couple months searching couldn't find much. Sparco's are good priced..

Pikey009
Is there any way to May the standard seats lower? I've got a 98 spec interior coming. Also, who's epp? Is it a company?
Flynn
Ep performance mate, Give Browner a pm regarding low rails

Pikey009
For anyone wanting to keep stock seats or running gt/glanza seats- my mate who's a welder will be modifying mine in a couple of weeks to drop some height off them. I'll be running 98 glanzas on N/A rails so that's why i'll be looking to get them sitting lower. I'll let you know on here when it's done and post pics up etc on my build thread for anyone who's interested.
5e colin
^^^^^ hey pikey it would be very interesting to se how you would be lowering stock seats they have a horrid design underneath to lower
Pikey009
Well we are going to give it a go and see what happens. He had a look at the mounting points and said he can do it no problem but I guess we will see!
Pikey009
So as everyone warned- we decided against chopping the standard mounting points as it does look like a bit of a nightmare. I wanted to buy a set but without treading on anyones toes i feel £200 per frame is a bit crazy. Instead we are drilling out the original mounts and are making a custom pair of seat frames from scratch so will post pics up when they are done Edited November 30, 2015 by Pikey009
morgey
ive corolla HI-torque seats in my glanza and there snug out I do need make new lower rails as I cut feet off corolla rails and fitted glanza seat feet onto them and there a bit high for me but I prefer low seatsI also had these in mine for a while, great seat, with base, lumbar and bolster adjustment on the drivers seat. They are however very heavy in comparison to stock seats. Like at least the weight of both ep91 seats with rails together for one seat.
Pikey009
Jesus i wouldn't want those then Morgey! Love my 98 seats now i've got them in but just need to get them a little lower
morgey
I swapped one out for a tom's bucket seat and then swapped that and the other ae92 seat for some recaros. I've still got the drivers one, very very comfy but unfortunately quite heavy lol
Gainzy
The most comfy seat I've ever sat in was a bride recliner you certainly get what you pay for!
Pikey009
I can't afford to add anymore weight to the sr lol I'm 18stone and she only has 76 lazy horses. I had cobra daytonas in the celica and they were brilliant. Seats and rails were 280 too!
daniel_g
I think standard GT seats are great, not the most fancy seats in the world but theyre comfy and weigh as much as a packet of monster munch..
Pikey009
Yeh good point mate I'm just not keen on them otherwise I'd have snapped a pair up by now
Pikey009
Rough seat frame mock up but these won't be finished until after Christmas now as I've only got a week left in work and won't get the chance to finish them
