  13. Thanks mate very kind of you to say. If I could keep it I would, I think in a few years these will be pretty sort after. No offence to anyone but if they're planning on repping it then please don't enquire or just lie to me ha ha! It really is a stunning car and deserves to be well looked after.
  14. Thanks mate I really appreciate that and I hope so too. I'll be gutted to see it go
  15. Year: 1998 Model: SR Tax: 0 MOT: Sep 17 Mileage: 66,008 The time has come to put the SR up for sale. I'm a huge SR fanatic and after having one for my first car 13 years ago I'm back where I started. It took me absolutely ages to find a good one. After seeing quite a few others the quality, condition and history of this one stood out by a mile. The car has been cherished and is in lovely condition both inside and out. Anyone that knows me knows how meticulous I am with my cars and with this one it's even more so than usual. I avoid any built up parking areas and am obsessed with cleaning it. I'm usually the only person in the car so there is always a seat cover on the drivers and the optional mats are only used on weekends if the weather is nice. The paintwork is fantastic with only a few minor stone chips on the bonnet and there is zero rust anywhere. When I bought the car it had a minor scuff on the front and rear bumpers so when I finally managed to get hold of the genuine TTE splitter i decided to have the bumpers re painted at the same time as having it fitted. The wing mirrors were also colour coded and set the car off nicely. The arches have been thoroughly cleaned and undersealed by hand taking me hours. I also made a start on the underside rear of the car and am currently just past the spare wheel well but have a new born so have run out of time at present. I will include a tin of waxoil to allow the job to be completed by the new owner. HISTORY & MAINTENANCE It's got full history and every MOT cert it's ever had along with lots of service and parts receipts. It also has the original sales brochure. . Just got a fresh years MOT today . All belts including cam belt, idler and water pump - Nov 15 @ 60k . Major service - Nov 15 @ 60k . Minor service was carried out by myself @ 65k using genuine filters and Castrol GTX. It will also come with the rare original sales brochure. TIME FOR THE VIOLINE The reason for it being up for sale is that soon I'm going to have to start driving around 400miles a week and although it's more than capable I don't think it'd be fair on the car. At this time I don't have anywhere to store it and although it does limited mileage it still deserves to be enjoyed and not just sat in storage anyway. Please follow the link below for my build thread. If you'd like any other pictures or information just let me know and I'll happily reply as soon as I can. It'll probably be in the evening though as I'm at work until 5 every day then have two kids under the age of two to get sorted when i get home. Any inspection welcome, thanks for looking. 16. Ha ha that was a quick u turn. good stuff mate glad to hear you're keeping it. Mines in for MOT tomorrow and then going up for sale tomorrow night
  17. Looks loads better mate. Refurbing the heat shield makes a big difference too. I think painting a rocker would also look great
  18. Ah thanks mate that means a lot. I really have looked after it and love it to bits. I'll regret selling it like a lot of the other cars I've owned but it's always been out of my hands :/
  19. Ha ha I wouldn't want to crash one. My 08 197 was literally falling apart though and only had around 50k on it compared to all the 90's jap cars I've owned with higher mileage. i prefer the build on them they feel much better put together. If I was after a track car though then I'd go for the 200, best fwd handling car I've ever driven and would put a lot of 4wd cars to shame.
  20. Looks like both of ours will be for sale soon then mate! Why the change of heart? The clios are everywhere because they're cheap and pretty fantastic out of the box. Having had a 197 myself I'm a massive fan of hot clios but they're made of tin foil and fag packets. There are loads of rubbish ones around. If you're set on one then go for the facelift 200, all the niggles of the 197 were sorted. Or a 182 trophy ;) don't get a williams unless it's going to lead a sheltered life.
  21. It's had a lot of work done to a very high standard and looks in fantastic condition. I'd love to live in a world where you could ask exactly what you want for something but you can't and always get haggled. GLWS mate shame to let it go after all the hard work.
  22. V nice was that the boot liner from gumtree/ Facebook? I wanted one but felt £150 was too much for me. Ha ha not so secret secret box. Were those speakers ever an option for an SR?
  23. Driving it today in the sun was cracking I love it, going to miss it loads. The exhaust sounds great and crackles on the over run
  24. Yeh it won't just go to anyone, I want to make sure it'll stay as an SR. I'll be getting it MOT'd soon and then I'll have to put it up for sale I'm in no rush to sell as my lass isn't going just yet but just thought I may aswell put it up sooner rather than later as I'll have to find a decent replacement
  25. :/ I used to be but am now in Andover. Miss that area
