  1. Praying to god its not a fucked turbo again
  2. Ive tack welded the actuator bracket in place seems to seal good. Im not if i could have affected anything rotating it?
  3. Its brand new from TD, theres no exhaust from the screamer to suggest its leaking
  4. Recon turbo, new turbo set up on my charade, similar to starlet. Replaced the turbo for a recon as no boost and suspected turbo. New recon turbo in and still no boost. Car cuts out with intercooler pipes blocked which indicates no boost leaks. External wastegate sealing ring in. Ive swapped so many turbos on my starlet i thought i could solve it. Got me stumped, turbo primed with start up oil that came with it and prined without efi like starlet. Its a garret gt17, rotated the turbo housing slightly also. Any more things to try?
  5. Whats wrong with DIY. Just because you couldn't cope with the harness etc doesnt mean it didnt work well for the person before. Tigerseal isnt the best stuff granted
  6. I had these on mine, couldn't go very low on the back, just rubbed with d2 coilovers which were solid so only on big bumps. Folded the rear arch up and it was fine. Fronts i never tried with coilovers, fine with lowering springs though
  7. Big difference between hub dynos and normal dynos ive heard.
  8. I filled my standard charade mounts(oem rubber still in) with caravan sealant. Sounds pikey but no mounts are available and was cheap 60a rating. vibrates more than standard but isn't crazy and feels alot stiffer when it matters
  9. Finally got the kit all fitted and the turbo was duff car is seriously missing the action this year. Do have a custom double diaphram clutch custom drive plate on the way, good up to 200lbft. Also yellowspeed coilovers and 440cc injectors on route. Almost ready for mapping see if it can break 200hp mark
  10. Different dynos etc all make a difference. Over 200 is definetly not the norm
  11. they may go but will be a struggle. They normally have about 5% of give in them
  12. It actually says on the evans website coolant will run slightly hotter mate..
  13. With the evans you dont really no if you have a problem or not. Evans can run hotter as you said which is why your gauge may be higher.engine doesnt run hotter but the temperature of the coolant does. With normal coolant you'd really know if you have an issue.
  14. Thats the thing with evans, it masks issues with the coolant system.
  15. I wouldnt say you defo need a wideband if you have a decent map. Its a good failsafe but then afrs will be checked when mapping
  16. Doesn't the waterless coolant run hotter? Thought that was the whole point of it?
  17. Waterless coolant is a fad i think, waste of money if you have a decent cooling system anyway.
  18. While you face in a standard starlet has already finished being the crumple zone
  19. Roll with show cage or roll with out? Bet it helps a bit. No point having one if you dont roll it ;)
