Rotational assembly balancing, worth it?
morgey replied to EPnick22's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
I agree with above, Toyota did a good job stock. When looking into building a 4age for my car, I looked over several threads about people getting there bottom end balanced and people had been to engine builders and been told that they couldn't improve on it as it was already so good. -
Pretty sure now if the car came fitted with an airbag, whether its there or not, the airbag light must work. Bit like cats. I might be wrong on that though. If that is the case then yeah just pull the bulb out lol
-
The 1.3 na isn't the best base for tuning. Best get it breathing better. Corolla inlet manifold Early 4efe 4-2-1 manifold 2" exhaust Then if funds allow a piggy back ecu and a tune. You might see 90-100. Or save the money and drop a 5efe which is 90-100hp anyway
-
Reseting it won't do shit if there's no airbag there. For the mot your airbag light must act as normal, come on with ignition then turn off, so you have to fool the system into thinking there's an airbag there. This can be done by a simple resistor block or just head to Www.dashlightremoval.com (i think that's the site)

Rotational assembly balancing, worth it?
morgey replied to EPnick22's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
It reduces vibration meaning a smoother running engine, mainly done on high revving engines as he vibration increases as revs increase (generally) In some cases harmonic crank pulleys are put on to minimise the vibration. -
you mean a 5sfe block, which is a 2.2l And a 3sgte head. Bit like doing a 5efte hybrid except the 3sgte head is a wide angle design. Same as a 7age, you use a 7afe block and bottom endwith a 4age head of some description. No replacement for displacement as they say
-
Used to be 4agte powered at about 580hp they then dumped a 3sgte in it and it was running over 850hp with that.
-
Tbh I'm not sure if there is I just know there is on 4ages lol Think there is an earthing point on the back that's for sure
-
Cup cake of the man up variety?
-
Bracket on the back?

Take a photo through the driveshaft holes in the box, will give an idea of what LSD is in the box. and hughes its not an OEM LSD box its an aftermarket one
-
Kp Mounts can be bought from www.technotoytuning.com But they don't look all that hard to make anyway

How to identify 5e-fhe engine???
morgey replied to Adeeb1395's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Could probably take the engine number to Toyota, they might be able to tell you as well (if its a bare block) Inlet and exhausts are different I believe -
Drill the head off remove the rest of the bolts as normal, take the head off then you could weld a nut onto the remainder of the bolt that's sticking out the block and undo it that way.
-
2 screws facing upwards above the headunit remove them and it just pops out. That's pretty much the only way to wire it all up tbf
-
They started off with basic stuff on fmx and on the mega ramp then did some flips and stuff nothing too crazy. The skidoo was insane, soo big and throwing it around like a crosser haha
-
Was row 2, litterally could feel the wind as they rode by! Mate was so good! This close!, front row of tier 1 would have prob been better for veiw though but not as close to the action! And pastrana himself
-
Yeah it can't be two randoms, probably some junior moto x riders or something!
