  1. Thanks This is what i thought. How do you check the float in it? Can you use a feeler guage or something in the driveshaft holes or is there a correct technique? And any idea on the torque settings guys?
  2. Welcome
  3. Ahh i forgot toyota used silly head bolts on 4e's 4ages use standard 12 hex bolts so normal sockets work no need for silly tools haha Yeah belt off, head bolts out in the correct sequence! And only 1/4 turns at a time or you can warp your head! Inlet and exhaust mani's off. Alternator brackets as well? Cant remember 100% as i haven't had a 4e in 6 years haha
  4. Hello and welcome! I can see you being very popular on here I believe i have a picture of you and you car as a background on my laptop haha Enjoy your stay
  5. Recently purchased a fairly new Cusco Lsd from a levin 6 speed but the final drive is different to my 5 speed box so need to swap them over. What are the correct torque settings and sequence if so? Also can anyone explain what people mean when the say shimming up the lsd? And what affects does this have? Cheers

  7. Well my iphones had an epic timmy fit and has deleted all my book marks and wont save any new ones so think its a good thing i asked about this now Fuck iphones suck!!
  8. Ahh afraid not, this kept doing the same beep and sweep over and over so was prob wired in wrong. Tbh unless you spend a fair bit i doubt they are all that accurate. Rpm isnt all that important but the 3 you mentioned are. I've got some omori oil and water temp and oil pressure gauges i got for around £120-40 iirc but new expect to pay more like £150 each
  9. Oh good news on the gearbox. J.R Dains checked over both gear sets 5th and second were fucked on the levin (lsd) box but the old spare box had very good condition 2nd and 5th so no money needing to be spent there. Same with the syncro's and bearings so I've pretty much got a new box for £20 an a crate of beer fucking winner Bearings could have been had from US ebay for £120 but when i went to buy them the price had jumped to £220 :/ Local bearing places couldn't find any to suit so would have been £260 minimum for 4 toyota bearings for both input an output shafts
  10. End of next week/weekend. But im also waiting for the updated v5 to come back from the dvla to tax it correctly. I did try it but it had a spud attack and kept beeping and doing what seemed like a start up sequence :/ was going to have another try at it eventually but had more important things to worry about
  11. I may be able to get a couple of stand passes if people are bothered?

  14. Basically im bored at work (again) and am working on a flypress which means i have a hand free to use my phone. Now as this job is brain numbingly boring I've lost the ability to think for myself.... So what blogs, sites, pages, podcasts and other stuff do people follow. Subject doesnt really matter as im sure other people might take interest in what people follow Links if possible, much love!
  15. Is it getting 12v's
  16. Mmm lurvly cougar front lights vx220 rears and a sketch book that looks like it had a bad idea in it was scrunched up, unravelled shat on scrunched back up ran over then opened up to give the finished product.... Too good to be true? £35 k for a lambo surely not!
  17. Yeah i know what you mean, I've got custom stuff as well What method did you go for. Cut the beam in half plate and add a wedge, bolt back together or a different one?
  18. Shims will be the same but you would need to gap them using feeler gauges. If not within tolerance you would need to purchase new shims from toyota or raid a scrappy (any 4e or 5e) to get the correct gap.
  19. Im assuming either you are having a giraffe or you've actually modded the rear end to get some camber?
  20. Thats cool, quite a talent, alway said id have something like this done if i ever had a garage!
  21. Slept in mine loads, usually at Jae drunk which makes it easier. Curl up on the back seat with the fronts right forward. When it was stripped i used to lay out straight, head in the back left and feet in the drivers seat rear footwell. Just took a load of giant cushions to line it with was like a bed away from home. All i needed was a way to open the boot from the back
  22. Knock sensor beneath the inlet manifold? Or brake cylinder? Tbh i have no idea lol
  23. I would without a doubt be dead if i had one of them
  24. K20 y0000!! Held up pretty well considering!
