Ahh ill look into it again at some point! Quick update on progress. Gearbox is back together and in the car, made up a new manifold to downpipe gasket at work today as the original hks one had broken up over the years. obviously i would have liked a hks gasket but the only new one people know of is the last one and its in japan! so this it what mine looks like... 1.75" each ;) Now just Got to assemble and fit that, repack inner cv joints, fit them. Fill gearbox oil up and await v5 to return so i can tax it, all £225 of it Anyway heres a few pics of the gearbox in pieces so you get an idea of what we've been upto Trying to get 5th gear off! Late spec c52 and OEM LSD. Knackered 5th gear selector arm and hub 1-4th in box assembly with cusco diff fitted More of the assembly Matt fitting the reverse gear Back together Leftovers... These are from an early spec c52 from a corolla gti16 few bits we needed to take like 2nd and 5th and some syncro's Anyway should be back together soon enough. Need to tax it as well as its book on for track on the 24th which requires it to be road going as its a novice session!!!

My 2 boxes are 97 compared to 92. Unconverted same wheel size. 3rd gear is missing a tooth on the later c52, didnt check 4th but old goes 125+ new is about 122 both gears limiter is at 8200rpm

C56 are a 97- onward box its the same with levins. But there is 2 variations of c52 boxes as im running a levin c52 and have a corolla gti c52 and 3rd and 4th are different in them as well

No the correct term is actually 'off' which annoys me, But its an old term used in engineering something to do with MTO, material take off? Don't really get it but its how it is haha

I just checked the width of the speedlines an they're only 6J So even heavier Also just been looking at some of the other markings. Speedlines are made from Aluminium, silicon and magnesium . Theres also a G at the beginning of the marking but not sure what thats for lol

They have with a few titles on the ps3 but not to the extent MS are on about. About tbf the price difference in not that much considering the XBO is coming as a camera and box bundle whereas the ps4 thats an add on. And i bet it will be around the £80 mark. So price difference to spec them the same will actually be almost identical. But 80% of gamers dont care about eye toy or kinect lol
