  1. Well unless toyota used trd diff's in the Bzr levin/trueno's thats stock.
  2. Looks smart need to sneak a tubby in there ;)
  3. Thought id grab a couple of pics before i left for work this morning. Quite happy with the looks now tbh, maybe a refurb on the wheels in the future and get the front SR stickers on but generally finished the exterior Rolla powwa!! Haha What you guys think?
  4. Ahh yeah Ae86's are something else but fetch so much money and need constant attention and to be garaged all the time or they'll just rot! Which is why i couldnt own one just yet! Anyway gave it a clean and changed the oil in the box last night after 50 miles to flush out any bits and pieces left over from the refurb. Millers oil in, diff seems slightly better, will add additive when it comes in and see what changes that makes. Also fitted the cupra splitter i got from Drongo boi Will be giving it a good clean, change the wheels to my others with AD08's for the evening session on monday and will report back after wards!
  5. Erm i going to have to shit on everyones door step here. I've just ha another look at the wiki. Its the c52 that has the flange as it was used to mount the selector assembly in the rear engined 4age powered Mr2's The c56 is a revision of the 52 which was never intended for use in a rear engined car so didn't require the flange to mount any selector assembly to. Heres a link to another guide, which imo is still wrong but you get a better idea, http://www.ben9166.com/2010/05/how-to-recognize-c56bt-c56st-and-c53.html?m=1 Personally first box is a c52, its what im running atm, ratio's are different from an ae92 c52 but looks are identical. Second is the c56 without the flange 3rd is the c52 with flange setup for Mr2. Some may call it c53 or something else but its the same box.
  6. Got a c52 from a ae111 levin, i used to run it with an OEM Lsd and that was pretty good and nice and daily. Just had it refurbed (best of a couple of boxes) and fitted this cusco LSD and its just harsh as fook, i used to be able to record with one hand and drive with the other, now theres no chance of that! This diff pulls all over the shop haha
  7. Yeah this exactly, i dont have powersteering (should do) so i guess its amplifying it a bit. Get funny looks for passers by and everything lol Changed the oil to some millers stuff and it seems slightly better. going to put the redline lsd additive in when it arrives, if that doesn't improve it ill get some of that motul oil and more additive and try that.
  8. Mine doesn't just sound bad it feels it to, literally snatches the steering wheel?
  9. Haba yeah i am as well, whereas matt isn't so i usually do any major work with him in his garage so i feel implied to finish it off an he'll be on my case to get it done And its insane good! You have to be really agressive with it otherwise it causes it to understeer but if it starts doing that just apply more gas and it just pulls you into the corner like you weren't even trying!! Its just such a shame its so harsh at low speeds, but fingers crossed these additives and different oils make it more bareable! Not sure haven't seen this months banzia, i want a 98spec ae111 trueno bzr. In black ideally. I think tony's brother has a blue one actually? And Yeah ill be keeping it for at least another year so got some time to go hunting on track at the likes of japfest
  10. Id start with the cheaper bits, ball joints and track rods. They affect the wollowiness and are cheap. Then a set of springs and an anti lift kit. Then polybushes for the front antiroll bar and droplinks. That should be £200-300 max and will be a massive difference.
  11. Haha its actually not that bad. And no im not, neither's my mate! We just dont mind having ago at stuff, worse case scenario i had a 3rd box or i'd pay to have it put together properly! In the foreseeable future, yes. I've had the car 6 years other than this noisey as hell clunky diff im happy with the car. Theres a few bits ill be doing over the next year or so to make it as daily as possible and once i get it to that point ill do some track days attend some shows and then call it a day! I love it to bits, even more so after giving it some abuse last night with the new diff, which is fucking insane by the way, but i need to stop spending money on it. An whilst i own it that wont stop haha
  12. Wrap the metal bar on the bonnet in black electrical tape. The catch isnt adjustable on toyotas unfortunately
  13. If its on top its rocker cover, gearboxes dont leak upwards, that much oil from that area of the box and no slipping on the clutch its not crank seal. Possibly sump gasket But id say maybe dissy seal or rocker cover And yeah last yeah i rolled over to ukso sat down chatted shit asked everybodies names about 20 times then fucked off back to my stand haha
  14. Im undecided atm, trueno will be a good medium between the rolla and the starlet, so which it replaces im unsure of yet. I wont be videoing it myself but got a few mates out with me and it only a few miles from home so should be some driveby vids as well hopefully
  15. For the night, thursday friday and saturday all day drinking this year ;) haha Last year was get up cook breakfast open strongbow crack on!
  16. Get it done now!
  17. Oh yeah the cornerings brilliant once you get used to the ooo a bit of understeer clunk clunk oooo ill just press the go go pedal a bit more oooo shit thats the inside of the roundabout haha Just the slow speed cornering and clunking feels like my cars about to fall apart haha
  18. Damn this is horrible, propper harsh like the steering locks up and jumps round everytime it clunks?
  19. If so I've heard they are harsh and noisey at low speeds but this is something else haha It really locks up an clunks if on half throttle. Speed its fine. Going to drop the fluid put some fresh stuff in it with some lsd additive but really would like to know what other peoples are like. Cheers from a rather paranoid me :/
  20. Ahh big plans then! Ill let you know how my Wms kit fairs after monday when im on track! Im nearly ready to stop spending on mine. Wanting a trueno now so will see what the future holds
  21. From cold start the car with the rad cap off, heaters on full and keep putting water/coolant in the radiator whilst bringing it up to temp. Once it seems to be full pop the cap on, top the header tank up and wait for the fans to cycle a couple of times and check interior heaters are hot. Turn off and cool down. Check fluid levels and possibly repeat until heaters blow hot.
  22. Welcome, what do you do that involves being away for so long?
  23. Your'll be wanting some celica, levin or multi pots for that then
  24. Ahh no way man! You worked out where yet. Could be oil leaking from the rocker down the back. Drain plug Driveshaft seal Drain or filler plug Or worse case crank seal. That would be likely to cause clutch slip as well tho. And jae Ill be there but on fyc racing stand, well worth it just a massive pissup! So as long as you drink its well worth it haha
  25. Yes i was lol. Them brakes will be fine untill you decide to track it ;)
