Massive power on the rolling road.......
morgey replied to kingo228's topic in Performance & Track Days
Was that wheel or fly power? -
Cheers dude yeah im well happy with them too! Haha i wish it had new bolsters and a good clean tbh Right after fitting my cusco LSD box a few weeks ago i had it booked on track for an evening seasion, had the monday of from work to get the tracking/alignment done. About 3 hours before i was set to sign on a thought id go get it done. Started my car up to find it sounding like a tractor!! Im like noooo!! Quick look underneath and my downpipe gaskets blowing, great so off comes the manifold an downpipe to find this... That nice gasket i had made couldnt handle the heat and had broken int

My cusco is different to that the under side is flat and doesnt have the ribs on it

I've had my ad08's for a fair while now and both wet and dry grip far outseeds my t1r's they do need a little bit of heat but once there they are fantastic. Just done a few hours on track with them and they still have plenty loads left and have done a good few 1000 miles now. Plus pod launches and your general hacking about like a twat. Theyve been given an A rating in the wet as well which is better than the rainsports. I got mine on a set of wheels and the cost of the tyres alone would have cost more than i paid for them though lol so there is a downside to them haha -
I know my 4age they have incorporated a vac mani into the throttle design, each one has a single feed on the under side which all join into one another and in turn feeds into it. This supplies the map sensor (still has a pulse reducer inline) and brake servo, then the two outer have another feed each. One for for and another for an idle valve or something on the underside of the throttles that i cant see. Im pretty sure theres also a feed to the throttle stop dampener on mine.

Not sure on the pcv setup but with the vacuum mani id imagine you would still get quite bad pulses running it like that. I know its hassle but if it was me id run all four to one manifold to give you the most even signal (thats how a stock plenum works) and take fpr, brake servo and map from that possibly with pulse reducers on all bar the brake servo. Just my 2p but im sure you've looked into it already lol

Santa pod times.. For the fairly stock gt's & glanza's
morgey replied to Tyron Devine's topic in Performance & Track Days
Also do a dirty ricer burnout and steer left to right to get both heat in both tyres -
That is an OEM AE111 levin Bzr lsd pictured. Not a Trd item. I got one in a box with a knackered 2nd for £110

All the more reason to look after them ;) -
Leave the two bolts at the bottom of the shock loose, lift the bottom of the disc up, this will take up the slack and eradicate the adverse camber, whilst still supported/lifted tighten the two bolts. Repeat on the other side and check again. If all seems good, get the tracking alignment setup to assure correct alignment
-
Yeah was a post on a tercel forum ages ago. Exactly the same except the thickness of the plates the stub axles mounted on, glanza ones are thicker so beef's up the overall width
-
Gt rear beam, 10-20mm narrower ;)

I had normal paint on my rocker n it was fine. Prob wont last forever but will do for a good amount of time
-
Was it originally just an np80? Or a gtt converted to diesel?
-
Yeah i do Have they got vaccum fittiings on the other side im guessing? Pretty sure i remember you saying you were getting a vaccum manifold so i'd assume so. If you're lucky it might run on the standard ecu then altho it will be very badly i imagine. That seems a bit strange it would stop again, the oil level isnt low is it? Lol
-
They sound horrible, if you want a good LSD get an oem levin LSD within 80-90% of the cusco's for cornering without any of the noise or harshness. If your car is daily i wouldnt get a cusco diff. Just my 2p

Mines like this, fucking rank, makes me crease everytime i drive it! And this is with 2/3rd's of a bottle of break in/slip additive but it made no difference. Tight left corner 1st or 2nd gear http://youtu.be/LD7ycptXi0o 2nd gear left right switching http://youtu.be/6aJpy6fHMYg
