  1. I've just had a set of mine apart, sliders were solid. Out they came, cleaned them up, checked that they slid ok. greased with some high temperature bearing grease and assembled them, put them down for 5 minutes and the sliders had seized solid again. As you can imagine i was baffled. The grease isn't overly thick and they weren't rusty in the slightest? :s

I can completely understand, the rents went on holiday for a fortnight and it was bliss, having you own space it great! But crippling any form of excitement by moving out is something im not willing to do

    Jobs ??

I've just worked out what i spend a week. On fixed bills for cars (tax fuel mot insurance) phone. They are the only fixed out goings i have, due to a dont pay rent but save towards a house basis. (Thankyou rents) It comes to about £85, with nothing going wrong, a week, this leaves me £200-220 a week (savings come out of this as well) i can garrentee i couldn't afford to live on my own with this much and still have both my cars and mod them or have the social life or holidays i enjoy. Independence costs unfortunately :/
  4. I actually met him years ago at donny south or somewhere like that, seemed a sound guy was like 170-80 hp then iirc

    Jobs ??

Been at my company 6 years and am only £7.80. On a 40ish hour week. Really need to find a new job as im sure a cnc machinist, forktruck driver, injection mould setter, tool maker etc all earn the same or more than that. Only difference is im not specialised in any one of these, just know bits of all of them The main thing that stops me is the fact that the bosses here are soo laid back i can turn up 15 mins late everyday and not loose my job and i get loads of perks like free use of cnc machines and stuff!
  7. I dont think they look too bad tbf, something different. But if there not doing anything, whats the point?
  8. I had a custom shaft made for my car, but it does use the standard c.v joints so you would still have them as a weak point. There not cheap though, i paid £223 for one shaft with no joints! And this was the short shaft the other side is nearly twice as long lol If you're interested i can try get some details through the people who got mine made up.
  9. Half the things people have said theyve become or started doing since quitting are things i do without smoking. Being grumpy, tetchy, stressy, binge eat, etc Makes me wonder if i should take up smoking. Might help me loose weight as well haha! In all seriousness good luck, will be worth it in the long run ;)
  10. Im not too sure about sides, they're quite small so in not that worried about them, but if someone wants to swap them out I've no issue with doing so. The main reason i haven't changed my plates is down to the stock bumper having the cut out for the long plate. Well that and i think some square plates make cars look a bit like beavers
  11. im going with a first come first serve basis. whom ever PM's me first gets them
  12. get the piston out clean up the piston and the area where the piston seats, replace he gaitor and if it needs it the o-ring where the piston sits. rebuild/seal kits can be had off of id-works td or camskills, along with pistons if yours is that bad. obviously after sorting it you will need to rebleed your brakes lol
  13. me being a ricer after fitting my trumpets. http://youtu.be/c9fzO9qtg14
  14. Awwhh cheers dude i think you should, need some more people repping 4age's
  15. Item For Sale: Replica Sr decal set. Item Condition & Description:Copied from an Original set, these are a multiple layer sticker set unlike the OEM printed single layer decal, also the spacing's are ever so slightly different due to them having to have been pre-assembled from each individual colour. however they are still very good quality, they also have an additional set of stickers to go on the bump strip. But i was told that they won't stick to the plastic very well (maybe he assumed that our strips have a rough finish), so it is advised to spray them first or risk them not lastin
  16. I know but it does affect the speeds you can get upto in between time for the brakes to cool down. Basically what i was saying was i had glanza brakes ebc discs with yellows and hi temp fluid for 18months (170ish hp and 940kgs) and no problems on the road. 20mins on track soon showed up the flaws in the setup. Less time in between braking when on track compared to the road, See what im saying?
  17. Well if its only a short 20min session you might get lucky, but just be prepared for needing new brake discs afterwards I would also lean more towards ferrodo or mintex pads as well
  18. Exactly the same dude. Green stuff on an n/a for road are fine, yellow fast road is fine on a turbo upto about 180ish hp imo. But the 18mm discs cant take any form of abuse on track, the pads will no doubt be fine imo I've also heard the reds being track and yellows being fast road track? If you want to track the car, get a brake upgrade with some 22-25mm discs
  19. Good for fast road use. I found but on glanza brakes track use killed them. Im sure with bigger brake setup they would be fine though
  20. Ahh mine gets a speed signal, and if the car has a standard speed limiter it will have a speed signal
  21. The car needs to register the speed or it will go into limp mode i think, id try checking the speedo cable etc and go from there
