Title should read "Flynns I've given up all hope of being awesome with a 20v Sr and got a new car build" 😜
-
Ill have to get it back on the road and test out the external mic on my new gopro. Will sound 100x better than any video so far lol Yeah taggys car was a beast. Looked so under stated haha
-
Haha i want a stuble looking ep70 with one. Cram some levin twinpots under some steelies, gut as much weight as possible then stick all the seats back in and rip it up haha
-
Shame, could have had a fleet of black 20v sr's lol
-
Haha, you get the engine, box, loom and mounts and bring the cars here with some beer money then we can start talking 😉
-
Its great fun, would do it again but do it to a lighter car like an ep80 or 70. They'd respond better to it as it only has limited torque.
-
Cheers man 😊 The 1st 16v swap me and a mate did aged 18 in a glorified shed barely big enough for the car so in the scheme of things not overly as long as you have a head for getting around problems. Mounts are all custom but nothing a welder and some sheet steel wouldn't fix. Driveshafts, the driveside is from a corolla gti. Passengers side is custom. Both hubs were machined out to fit a passat wheel bearing and then press fit the corolla gti stub axles. Wiring, used the 4age engine loom and spliced it into starlet dash loom and starlet engine bay fuse box. You can cut both c

I've already mentioned these to them. Not overly worried about selling but since I've taken some pics thought id post them up see what interest there was

Only some Uk's do not sure on glanzas. Under glove box theres some black mushroom pins pull them out and a panel comes off, slide out 2 filters and either wash them or id-workz or a local motor factors will have them.
-
So was the main Efi relay in the end? Lol Glad you found it dude
-
Yeah will be on one of the 3 plugs on the speedo cluster, will just need to splice into that, power can be had from the cig or radio supply and earth it down inbthe kick panel.
-
I wouldnt do it like that personally. Theres a rev signal wire at the back of the clocks saves you running wires across the car like that.
-
Havent seen the tutorial tbf mate. But they are usually pretty generic wiring wise. The warning side of things will be built in so nothing extra there will need doing.
-
The warning one will be fine for what you need. The other option is fit some gls or sr dials which have a rev counter stock, just need a couple of wires moving.
-
Warning allows you to set a warning. (Shift light) Peak does that and allows you to recall the highest point the needle reached. Say if you went into 1st instead of 3rd your revs could go up to 9000rpm, you could hit the button and see how far it reached. It seems it also has a buzzer or something if need be. Touch allows you to change the dial colour and also has the warning and peak feature.

Erm how does £175 + postage sound, Or collected from watton, norfolk I can grab some pics if interested.
-
I've a Set of grids, no tyres in need of a refurb.
-
Im assuming people know what car you drive as im sitting here thinking 82 or 91? Lol Or did 82's not come in 205 black and im just tired haha
-
Rad cap is a possibility, or headgasket. Can get the coolant sniff tested if not sure
-
I've a pair of doors in norfolk pretty straight and dent free but a bit scuffed on the edges, unsure if im going to use them yet or not. Theyre currently complete with doorcards and flocked armrest etc but might be taking them and the window motors out.
-
A guy called mr-quimby or similar on here knows someone that sells a map convertor or something for boosting 4efes to get around that issue. Not something thats used in the uk very often though #vaguestpostever lol
-
Something to do with where that bar attaches to the catch itself then id assume. Havent taken my door appart that far though so hard to say exactly where the problem is
-
If you pull the metal bar does the door open?
-
With it being calibrated i wouldnt have thought so but, im a firm believer in things never going back together quite right lol. It can be done with a voltage meter so isnt overly hard to do. As for the starting issue, im not sure but i know newer cars can suffer from tps being out and causing non start issues but thats usually more permanent than intermittent
