Thats pretty cool about all the info the trd stuff comes with tbf. Be interesting to see how you get on with them, I've been tempted by them myself.
-
Id imagine the reason all the trd stuff is expensive is because it has actually undergone real R&D unlike a lot of stuff, plus jdm points y0!
-
No measurements but a good whack of pictures. Not sure if black Sr's had grey backed stickers but mine and flynns look noticably greyer than lukes.
-
Im sure mine look like lukes but will check later. I've had mine since 2005 so im 99.9% sure theyre originals

86 is mint, the TRD kit is stunning, when i saw the TRD display model at goodwood a few years back and it gives the car the look it should have had from day one Imo

Theres loads of S***SAH cars from around norwich as well. -
Classic scoob. Get a uk 2000 or basic wrx for that, but id be careful as most will have been abused. Mitsi Fto 2l v6 mivec, theyre something a bit different.

Facelift Corolla tsport
-
I didnt need to, levin discs are 275mm but if it came to it i could do it at work. Yeah you should get on fine with them, they'll be more than adequate for a starlet
-
Did that some time last year, the old brakes were literally falling apart lol. Luckily the levin discs bolt straight up on the corolla so no spacers or spigots needed, but if you wanted the same you could use celica st202 cariers with astra discs skimmed to 275mm with a spoigot ring to locate the disc and away you went. I had these laying around from when i binned my trueno just needed the carriers which i got for £20 from a scrappy.
-
Thats on my corolla, thats using celica carriers to make them 275mm think yours will be about 260mm if its just using the levin carriers. Will still be plenty for the starlet though these are great on that and its a heavier car

That ashtray is jokes! Id go with silver looks fairly factory These will probably be bigger than your setup though.

Is this a megasquirt ecu pinned into a oem toyota ecu casing? -
Dont want to put a downer on this but we cant allow group buys unless its through a trader.

I believe the astra disc doesnt need the spacer ring. Thats for using levin discs, it goes under the disc between it and the hub to center it in the caliper. 260s fit fine, you can fit 275mm discs with levin calipers under 15s fine, stock starlet are 256mm anyway. And yes in somecases you do need you clear the arch between carrier bolt holes others you dont. If you want to make the kit 275mm just use celica st202 carriers and only get the astra disc skimmed to 275mm.

Distributor leaking onto thermostat housing
morgey replied to Flaminsam's topic in Ignition & Fueling
The cam caps can also leak, i had to put some on my 4age caps, bolt them down and then the stuff that splurges out is there to seal the corner of the rocker cover gasket. -

The bearings should come with the seal i would have thought, be doing very well to get a seal separate as toyota like using obscure size bearing so local bearing places cant supply them. -
No luck on the rolla club. Let us know how you get on with them
-
Im on it guys, guy on the corollaclub should be able to hook us up with any luck
-
Speak to your tuner, let him know what you want it to do and he will have the best recommendation, no good having an ecu that your tuner cant tune.
-
Guy on the corolla club keeps getting gel stickers made up can ask him if he can make some
-
Good idea. Was supposed to be getting a call regarding cost for repairing it but it seems no one knows how to use a phone these days lol. Will pop up the road later and have a word see what theyre saying. Might pop into work and have a look at doing some bits. Need to move it along and im not busy...
