  2. Just an update lads like you said, left the port 2 on the standard actuator vented to air now have boost, coming in around I would say just after 2k revs, going to about 0.5 bar on gauge, obviously not booting it as still running in car

When I didn't really know much Ollie mate my oil light was flickering for a few weeks, obviously wasn't driving the car everyday and when I checked the shells they were not to good but wasn't getting any knocking either, the Pistons had play in them aswell, and of course had blue smoke on start up out the back, this was suppose to be an engine which only did 5000 miles from a rebuild so the pervious owner said so that was it the whole lot got done again

Not sure why your getting dished for here mate all your info has been absolutely fantastic and spot on, what might be common knowledge to some people is obviously not to others which is a fantastic way to learn, you need to put there dummies back in there mouth for them and throw them back in there pram then push it down a hill

    Wideband

    have put this off for to long now and when you get 2 good people on here saying get a wideband don't just guess I think it's time to source one, so if anyone has one please at a good price please let me know, other then that will have to get a good one from ebay Thanks

Must be the actuator mate the standard one, only payed a fiver for it on here ages ago, I put it back on for now due to (hope this makes sense) the hks one didn't have pivot thing where you clip the circlip onto, and of course my turbo wastegate hasn't got it pivoted on either so for the hks one on I was using a nut and bolt for now, also turbo is new on well refurbished by Liam d 1160km ago so can't be turbo mate

  14. Im just waiting on Colin to get back to me but o understanding all alot more now thanks to you lot, Jesus the minute you change something it needs mapping again? That could get bloody expensive in the long run, and there are a few recommended mappers around the south east so I will try and stay local

Yeah that's the one ryan mate, I will take the blank off asap, when I brought the car and it had a hks actuator on it there was no boost then till 4k and a half then when it went on the rolling road, he adjusted the actuator so boost was coming in just after 2k and a half......now put the standard one back on today I'm not sure when boost should come in on these standard ones and knowing now I blanked off the other port on it as Colin said it will be low boost so not sure when it should be coming in on the standard one hope this makes sense

I see what your saying mate totally I don't plan on going to 1bar in mine to be honest 0.8 will probably be the max I will go when I put the hks actuator one back on, and set it so I have it to 0.8 on the gauge but then I'm thinking would the FPR be ok at 2.4 bar, (that's what it's set to when engine running warm on idle) can't afford to rebuild another engine, so have to get it right this time, surely running a tad rich is better then running lean? I'm beginning to think the only solution to this is a wideband
