Has anybody ever made there own turbo/manifold gasket using 2mm copper sheet? I kept getting blows / splitting gaskets last time the car was on the road, had my manifold and turbo both skimmed and it still kept happening. Surely copper would seal better and be more durable in the long run?

It might just be the idle control valve mate, try and unplug it and if it stops making the noise then bingo it's that. If it is then don't worry, all of them do it. It's the grey one pictured

I know someone running a 200 quid t4 from eBay............ On an rs200 with mild antilag ! And he dosent seem to be changing them that often, I know he won't run Chinese wastegates though.
