  1. Cheers buddy. They do look pretty good, keeping it clean is the problem
  2. Turbo kit mocked up. Just painting the head now. The rather large snail makes it hard to see the block.. Will be using an exedy organic clutch Got a full dash and engine loom aswell... I want to wrap it in fabric tape before putting it in to make it looks bit better. Strange I know but it makes sense to me whilst it's out. Everything going smoothly, I hope to have the engine in and running within 1 month 2 at the very most. Then I can start breaking it in and after that upto mondello racetrack we go
  3. I've got a few mountune upgrades so I've managed to embarrass a few people. The mk6 I'll admit isn't overly fast in a straight line but on smooth B roads it's amazing
  4. Hi uzzy, I was speaking to idrees about the bit but becuase I'm in Ireland, I begrudge paying £15 pound postage as I personally find it a bit too much but that's just me. Nothing wrong with your parts or service though just the postage cost. I will get them new from you if all else fails. Cheers buddy
  5. Okay no worries thanks anyway. I think I might have one sorted now
  6. I'm not worried about having the water lines just oil feed & return hose. Thanks anyway

  9. Could do with something maybe. Was half debating wether it's worth it or not being down low in the bay. Might get some vht paint and do it
  10. That's spot on cheers mate. Is it reccomended I re torque them after so many miles of driving ?
  11. Hi guys, Just finished building my engine today and as I was doing it I noticed that 40nm for the conrod bolts/nuts isn't very tight at all and wondered should I have used some threadlock ? If so what grade ? Many thanks in advance, Joe
  12. Cheers buddy I might look at painting the head silver before it goes back in
  13. Got 2 standard blocks in Wexford, Ireland if you're in Ireland
  14. A few more pics I have Also, now I think of it, 40nm for the end caps isn't very tight at all, should I have used threadlock ??
  15. Haven't got round to that yet I did briefly check them and they seemed okay. Just need another check. Bearing clearances are all good though and rings are gapped which is the main thing
  16. 2 new valve stem oil seals left over from my rebuild - free to whoever may need them
  17. I stopped being a little bitch about it long enough to get it done and the head is pretty much complete. Fuel rail and injectors are on with new seals, inlet manifold is on along with the thermostat housing. Valves are all in now at this stage aswell. Tomorrow I'm going to start on the bottom end and hopefully, fingers crossed, you may see a complete FTE engine in this thread tomorrow
  18. I'll check my old cap and let you know. That would be great buddy thanks
  19. That looks good buddy glad all is fixed ! Not mad on yellow cars but that looks quite nice, would definitely read a progress thread from you
  20. Looking for the top cover off the engine bay fuse box as mines cracked unfortunatley. Must be unpainted with the sicker. Thanks in advance
