I think you need to go back to basics first. Get a boost gauge and see what is really going on. The boost light's only come on at certain pressures, you could just be boosting a tiny bit less with the auto ECU causing the 3rd light not to come on. I certainly wouldn't take the ECU to bits and start messing!

My only tip so far is that you need a deep 30mm to get the hub nuts off. I tried to change a CV joint last weekend but my standard 30mm wouldn't reach.

I'd go sealant over wax on a white car. I'm personally a big fan of the Zaino range. Choice is huge though and it depends on your budget, how much time and effort you want to put in and what you are ultimately trying to achieve.

You can use who ever you want you are just being "steered" by the insurance company, they will probably tell you how you get certain benefits from using their approved insurers but it's all so they can send you where they want as they will get certain perks or work done cheaper. If you want to go elsewhere you just have to get a quote, send it to the insurers and they will authorise the repair. Happened to me, I wanted it repairing at Toyota main dealer and they had no choice.

If you are claiming off insurance you have choice of garage, you don't have to go where they tell you.
