P-Sports / Pov Spec Glanza's have horrific interiors, these are the front seats So if you have the standard interior and ABS and Hi / Lo boost its not a P-Sport / Pov Spec its just a Glanza with no electric doors. Guess we will never know why these ones exist but I have seen a few like it now.

I would use iron x first.

Interior Rattle Passenger Side Behind Dash
DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in Interior & ICE
Solved it! After taking all the dash apart it turns out it was the passenger side wing vibrating! Kinda makes sense now the metal plate sound as it literally is giant sheet of metal! Anyway I just loosened all wing bolts, reseated it and tightened them up and it all good. Just have some new rattles from taking dash apart but no where near as annoying as the wing so all good! -
As per title, anyone got any new one's lying about for a good price?

Interior Rattle Passenger Side Behind Dash
DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in Interior & ICE
I wonder if it's that then and the sound just appears to be coming from behind the dash. -
I have the most annoying rattle in my car atm. Passenger side, sounds as if it directly behind the speaker. It sounds like a lose plate vibrating, could be a plastic plate or metal plate. It's almost like the sound when you put a ruler over the edge of a desk and twang it. I have had this noise in all 3 of my Starlets now so it obviously a common fault. I normally cure it by taking the interior plastics out and re fitting them but this time I have done that and the rattle still persists. Does anyone know of the rattle I am talking about and if so does anyone know the cause of it?

These ones are spot on, I would recommend them: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rally-Suede-Steering-Wheel-Black-Spars-Race-Dished-350mm-Deep-Dish-Drifting-1-/380663400469?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item58a14e8815 I actually crashed my car holding onto one of these and it held perfectly fine. Defo a solid product nothing like the above video.

I use one of these and I have never had an issue. Wouldn't attempt an oil change without it. It also helps if you don't have air con makes it so much easier without the pump in the way.

I wouldn't even touch the exterior. OEM with all the lips is mint, not even that many like it. -

What's plan regards to where we parking? We actually going in or staying on the free outer area? -
In Brief: Boost creep - When you set a pre-set amount of boost (say 10psi max) you expect it boost to 10psi and stop right? Well this isn't always the case. A turbo will naturally boost 1-2 psi more than what you set it on initial spool (when you put your foot down) and will then slowly settle to your pre-set boost. In this example the boost is set at 10psi, when you first accelerate the turbo will boost to 11psi and will quickly settle back to 10spi through the rev range, this is common physics of any turbo charger. Boost creep in this example would mean you accelerate, the boost goes

No a boost controller won't go below actuator pressure. Your setup is too free flowing, you need to either restrict it or make plans to run higher boost.

Rolling Road Day @ GR Performance, Mexborough
DavidAshton replied to webby's topic in Northern Region
Be rude not to, only live a mile away and always wondered what this place is up to. Please put my name down for a dyno run. -
You are lucky the driver you hit is not taking you to cleaners! Take this as a warning and pay more attention when you're driving.
-
Suppose, when I change my cv joint I will let you know if it stops, may still be a cv joint issue even if it doesn't click.
-
You literally have to take the current cv joint off and count the splines. It's totally random also don't forget you will need one with an abs ring.
-
I get this on mine but passenger side. But the CV joint is knackered on the side, clicks round tight corners. So I imagine it is that causing the knock when I set off / brake.

Just a quick update on this one. I did the unthinkable and sent £400 to James @ CJ Performace but luckily it all came good and I ended up with these! Never even thought about coilovers but when I see them brand new at £400 I just had to! They look super smart in the arches now! I did what I image most people do when the first get coilovers and lower them as much as possible! So here I had the fronts as low as I could get them without scrubbing and the rears lower with plenty to go! But I didn't like the rear that low as it looks like there is a fat p

They both bolt to the rails on mine. ZEP rail and a Recaro rail. EVO4's too, nice seat.

I am not sure if its the sensor or the gauge, either way I wasn't willing to waste another £15 on a new sensor. I tested my new gauge on a stove with a pan of boiling water and a thermometer to verify it actually worked before fitting it to the car.
-
I recently removed a DEPO water temp gauge that was giving me funny readings, turn out it was out by 15 degrees! So pretty much ran like you are describing. Cheap shite, get another gauge.
