Forged mk3 starlet for sale - tdo4, emanange ecu, coilovers etc

Such a shame. Looks like a lovely motor. I am looking for a GT. I just don't know enough about these engines to warrant working on them. I've only built two stroke engines and they are vastly simple in comparison. I hope you want you want for it. -
Ah see that explains it. But I thought pimps drive round in blacked out BMW's or Range Rovers. What kinda of pimp drives round in a Jap monster. He's Yakuza isn't he?

Amazing thread. Well jealous! The work, the money and the photos. Really awe inspiring. What DO you DO for a living lmao! To afford all these things! Very nice but I just can't get over the fact you want rid of it! Maybe I'm too much of a Honda fan boy, or maybe it's because I'm yet to take a starlet for a spin, but the DC2's are just epic machines. As said they are the worlds greatest FF car in terms of handling. I'm just amazed at the work that has gone on for this project. But you sound like an adventurous person, a change is always nice.

Of course it is. I was confusing it with the K20a engine. But yeah the b16b engine. Phenominal. -

The integra is undoubtly the worlds greatest FF car in terms of handling. Phenominal car one I'd only dream of owning. I take it is the DC2? Absolute dream machine they are. I love the b20a engines used in the JDM Honda Civic Type R 1997 I believe. The 182bhp 1.6 N/A engine. Phenominal power out of a 1.6 road engine. Why don't they make cars like that anymore? -

Is it me but isn't odd for the small end bearings to go, let alone that be the only thing wrong with it. Small end bearins sit in the con rod and take the grudgeon pin no? They take the rotations in the pin wrist. If they fail they'll take out the bottom end and destroy the bore. But That's not my point. I just wanted to make sure that's the problem. What I struggle to see is how has that failed but yet main bearings etc still be fine. By the sounds of things it's going to be a fix it job before you sell it. At the cost of £400 it would be worth fixing it to keep the car. If I were to buy this car I would have to factor in the hassle and cost of hiring a tow truck. To spend that sort of money on a car that needs to be towed home :/ Not good Hope you get what you want for the car dude. -
What a joke! Is that what you get for having nice things.

TrisK's TOMS MK1 GT - Wheel-y big update

Just finished reading it. Seems like Marco is gutted about selling the car. Begs the question why he doesn't go and build another one. And he sold up for a Honda? Would that be the integra dc2 in the DP. They are absolute cracking cars. Why would you b upset about not having a starlet when you have one of my all time favourite cars. The Japs are something special. There is something about their cars that just make me all giddy inside I do like the power delivery of a V-Tec engine. You can turbo a V-Tec, can't V-Tec a turbo. On that note the new civic looks sweet. Turbo V-tec 280 brake standard, very nice. Very nice I'm well jealous looks like a joy car to have -

I agree with the screamer pipe. I love engines and noise but for just commuting and driving about it's fecking annoying as hell lmao. Nothing wrong with Hondata's! lol. Do love Honda cars. Still very much Jap mobile. And lmao is that a window breaker?? I hope you never need to use it lol. -
MK1 GT Snow Edition - Full respray finally

Very nice mate. Love the body work repairs. Something I'd like to have a crack at actually. I think you've inspired me to do some DIY repairs to my motor. Got two weeks off soon so will get it all prepped before winter comes. Ultimately want it done professionally but my first priority is to get myself a GT turbo. To be honest I don't blame you for being pissed off. Stuff as obvious as that should have been mentioned. Guttering I know. I bought a Fiat Punto GT 1.4 8V turbo. Had it a week before the wheel flew off as I was driving round town. I was lucky I didn't kill anyone! Turns out the flipping numpty used to short of wheel threads so the nuts didn't tighten up properly! I'm glad you sorted it out before there was an accident. Smart. I was looking to wait for a GT Turbo comes on sale here but by the sounds of it that's not always a good thing lmao! -
Wossner pistons are 'OK'! Lol talk about premium brand. I run engines that push twice the original power on Wossners, they're more than okay! Well at least that's what I'm led to believe. I also run Wossner Con Rods. These tend to be marginely more expensive than other brands I've looked at. I don't know for sure which is why I'm posting because I'm surprised. Just saying engines I've built run Wossner wherever I can.

The interior is hidious! That body on the otherhand! Wow, I like that. Reminds me of Nigella Lawson: Oldish, Smokes, Drinks, Eats, Drugs -> Probably ruined inside BUT on the outside Yeah buddy! Nah that looks smart I like that. What are the plans?

To be fair it's got to be something. What fluids go through the exhaust. It's only going to be one or the other. I believe the transmission fluid is stored separately (funnily enough in the transmission) and if it's smoking then it's got to be something. As to where to post, at a guess Engines and not Newbies. This place is a community not a free garage lol. Either scroll through the many many pages of information and try and figure it out, or hope that somebody more knowledgable than me answers your questions. I will, but I ain't yet, become a Starlet Guru. But I'm planting my seeds to become a valued member so if I do have to ask questions at least I won't be a 'one hit wonder'. There should be the information here as to what the problem is. At a guess if it's not oil then it's got to be coolant. That or either your fan controllers packed up, but that doesn't explain the smoke.
-
Probably not going to get much help since you're posting in the wrong section. White smoke out the exhaust? Could be turbo seals? Piston rings? If oil is low and being burned it may increase the temperature of the engine with increase friction wear. Either way I wouldn't drive it until the problem is sorted....
-
Well that explains it then haha!

Evo's are nice it's interesting to hear what people have to say about them. I was in a 300+ Evo the other week. I don't know whether he was putting the pedal to the metal but, I dunno. Yeah they're fast. But they're big cars so it just doesn't feel as fast as it should. Cracking cars though.

Reminds me of Jack Nicholson in The Departed lmao!

Me and my mate had the same shock a couple of months back. Bought his Mazda mx 5 a few years ago. It got rear ended and written off, only to find that it was a cat C and the insurance didn't want to pay a fair price for it! Hope you payed a reasonable price. As it stood there it was a cat C write off and that was the day we bought it. Guttering

Love hondas myself. What did you have. Why did you cange? Me and my mate went to dumfries from cheltenham to pick up a Honda civic coupe. The guy dropped in a dz16 engine in and turbo chraged it. It's a monster.
-
Yeah that's propa nice. Must have cost you an arm and a leg!
-
Yeah I'm not surprised. What is the likeliness of another completely standard Glanza being in the UK is?

Haha Shorty you Display picture makes me roar!
