^ i agree! i didnt think there was anyone left who isnt obsessed with silly wheels and stretched tyres.
  6. ive been using the k&n ones i like that they have the nut on the end of them so you just put a spanner on them and they come off nice and easy. im sure they do a decent job too.
  7. Give me a shout when you do, we can have a little starlet meet LOL. I've just got 2 195/50/15 toyo t1r for 36 quid each from cam skill can't go wrong with that!
  8. my trd short shifter bolted straight in no messing about. panhard is going to be different as the back end is a completely different setup.
  9. a fello cumbrian! hey hey, im from workington. i dont like gates as they just employ foreigners and pay the guys shit and treat them the same. and ive had some bad experiences there. cheapest for tyres is normally cam skill in whitehaven which would be a track for you just for tires but they do delivery then get them fitted where ever you like. what tires are you fancying?
  10. do you think the 6 speed is much heavier than the 5 Geo?
  11. what differences are you meaning mate? wiring, sump ect?
  12. it was at an air field in cumbria John, i didnt use the launch control for that run too. cheers geo
  13. These sound good but for front and rear its going to cost a bomb. Will they make them even if only a couple of people are going to buy them?
  14. A thing to note is that most stock ct9s have a cracked wastegate and are way past their best by now. So do you spend hundreds on a hybrid or get a tdo4 setup. The CT9 option just doesn't make sense to me. Heard if so many of them breaking stock and hybrids.
  15. fair enough but are they plate type, clutch, viscous, helical? 1.5 way?
  16. nice one enzo. whats the name of the company? what type of diffs would they be?
  17. theres no point fitting a td04l unless your going to run 1bar or more. all this .6/.8 bar on stock ecu ect is a waste of time. get the boost turned up and mapped on something decent.
  18. td04's are not laggy where do people get this from?? i used to run an evo td05h 16g that had a bit of lag but you just get used to it. it was pretty savage when it came on boost though!
  19. Yes it drives like a different car and feels right now. The tracking and canber were all over the place before I got it done.
  20. Thing is with these cars no one in the UK has managed to sort some diffs out which they really need.
  21. dont bother with ct9 hybrids go td04l miles better!
  22. theres no 4wd dyno in cumbria but this guy is building one him self as he currently just has a 2wd one he built years ago. i dont want to go to another tuner as ive been to him quite alot and hes spot on, and ive seen cars his mapped and built him self and he knows what hes doing. plus hes about 40 mins away. and he doesnt just do mapping he will do anything, engine building, any fabrication steel or alloy, custom exhausts, manifolds intercoolers anything at all. this dyno hes building can go from pretty much the length of a classic mini (if it was 4wd) to long enough for anything you like.
  23. just watched it, great video!
  24. check the condition of the bushes on the front end too.
  25. no i messed the launch but he only won by about a car length. Get the spanners and the bank card out and get it sorted out lol. I finally got the geometry setup after fitting the coilovers last year and more recently new ball joints, track rod ends, bottom arms and 2 new t1r's as i was down too the bands on one side due to running well over 2 degrees negative camber on one side. old vs new heres what it got set too. ive rang to see how the 4wd dyno is coming on and the rollers still havent been machined so im thinking about taking this off the road and buying a clean eg civic (if i can find one) to knock about in until i can get this mapped and finished off its taking far too long now.
